French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2015
AMAAAZING!! I followed the recipe exactly except I replaced the baker's chocolate w/the powder kind, using the directions on the can for the right substitute measurements (I think it's 3T powdered chocolate and 1T oil is equal to 1 oz. unsweetened baker's chocolate). Anyway---it's phenomenal. My husband isn't big on desserts and he loved it. He liked the slight "coffee flavor" as he called it but it's really just the bitterness of the chocolate. So light and fluffy! So delicious and EASY EASY EASY! This is a go-to dessert for get togethers bc it has my 3 favorite qualities---fast, easy and a crowd pleaser!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2015
Really, really good recipe to use as a solid base. I like to add things like garlic and diced tomatoes and seasonings--but the bones of this recipe are fantastic--my husband loves it and he doesn't like cabbage normally.

So yummy! Different cheeses taste good too. I followed the recipe exactly in terms of measurements. My husband who isn't huge on veggies loved it too. Quick, cheap and easy--my favorite kind of dish!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2014
This was amazing! My husband especially loved it! I added a little more cheese than the recipe called for bc how can you go wrong with more cheese? Also I used marinated canned artichokes and they tasted great. I'll def be making again.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2014
My entire family loved it! It was so easy for something so delicious! When I don't have sherry I just add extra marsala and it's still amazing! I highly recommend this recipe to anyone!---you don't have to be an expert in the kitchen to make this one.

Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
Just made this tonight for my family and it was a hit--even my 2 year old liked it. I followed the recipe almost exactly--I did add a splash of marsala for a little extra flavor. Next time I'll use whole leaf spinach I think just bc it's a personal preference. I'm a big fan of this recipe and will be adding it to our rotation!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Best. Side dish. Ever. Make sure you use a whisk when making the sauce or it won't turn out.

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
Very thick and filling but sooooo good! If you start early enough you don't have to soak the peas at all. Freezes well too!….as a side note, I found you don't have to follow the recipe exactly, it's just as good with added spices or if you don't have EVERY spice in your kitchen that's listed in the recipe.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
I've made it so many different times--it's very good with any added spices of your taste (I've tried, garlic, fennel, bay leaves are greeeeat in it). So affordable and yummy! The meat is a lot like pot roast (if you slow cook pot roast) and very yummy. If you like to just follow a recipe w/o adding your own touch, maybe it could be considered bland, but honestly I think it's great---especially on fresh french bread! Husband and toddler approved by my family!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
I'm really not a pancake person, but today I realized my 2 year old has never had pancakes bc I never make them--and I felt like a terrible mother! Anyway, the point I'm trying to get to is that these were AWESOME and easy. All the ingredients are stuff you usually have in your cupboard already. I followed the recipe exactly and we all enjoyed them!

Chicken Chimichangas with Sour Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2013
So yummy! My husband loved it! Even my 2 year old liked it (except for the chilies). Be careful when you fry, bc when the juices from the inside of the chimichanga hit the hot oil it sprays like crazy! I will make this over and over again....it's one of those easy dishes that makes guests think you're an amazing chef bc they think it must be hard to make. Plus, the ingredients are pretty cheap so it's grocery budget friendly!

Pot Pie Cupcakes

They're so easy I kept feeling like I must have done something wrong until I tried them, and they were great! Easy, cheap and my husband is obsessed with them!...I cooked the chicken in a skillet so I could season it more, otherwise followed the recipe exactly.
