Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
This is fantastic. Really, really great and so incredibly easy. Someone suggested simply using Paul Newman's vinegarette?? That's insane. The combination of the vinegar and oil in this recipe is wonderful. I made the recipe as noted except for the almonds as I have allergies. I agree that the sesame and poppy seeds give it a good texture. I also used "Craisins" as they were fast and easy to find at the grocery store. I simply put all the ingredients in a big bowl, whisked it with a fork and poured an appropriate amount over the quantity of spinach I already had. Wonderful!! Even my six year old ate it!! Thanks.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
I used the ingredients as written but brushed the oil onto the bread, toasted, then applied the tomato mixture. This was really super. My husband dubbed it "restaurant quality"! Thanks for a great recipe.

Mama's Italian Wedding Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2006
Yummy! I was initially skeptical because I though the broth might lack flavour. It was really good! I only had 1/2 chicken broth and the other half vegetable. Omitted the onion because I had none. Still delicious. My tip is to drop the meatballs into the soup slowly, going around the pot so they don't all sit on top of each other. The meatballs will rise to the top as they cook. Once most of the meatballs have risen (about 4 minutes), then stir gently. Don't stir when you initially put the meatballs in. Great recipe Lalena. Thanks so much!

It is tasty but I also found it a little thin as written. I don't know that I would bother to make it again.

Middle Eastern Rice with Black Beans and Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2006
I made it as written with the exception of pine nuts. We loved it. Really loved it. I think it would do well with a variety of meats. Next time I'll try boneless/skinless chicken. Great recipe. Thank you!

Rosemary Mashed Potatoes and Yams

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2005
These potatoes weren't too bad but nothing spectacular either. I don't know that I would make them again only because we like other flavors.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2004
This recipe is really great. So much flavor! I used the same amoutn of ingredients for only 3 chicken breasts as I love the sauce it creates. I dribble the extra sauce out of the pan onto the chicken breasts once on the plate. Very yummy. Thanks so much for a keeper!
