Pumpkin Pie Bread

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
I made this last Thanksgiving because my brother couldn't have our pumpkin pie (nut allergy). Now I just make it year round! Great in muffins too.

Dairy Free Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
This recipe is great for those who opt out on dairy. Love it! Really make sure the cornstarch and water is mixed well, otherwise you end up with awkward clumps at the end.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
My go-to recipe! I usually cook for a bit longer and I substitute canola oil for butter (I don't eat dairy). They're a great comfort food!

Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2013
These cookies turned out delicious!!! I can't wait to make them again! The baking time was a little of for me; they had to bake for 12 minutes rather than 8. However, that could have been because I used stoneware cookie sheets (which I love). Otherwise, I love the recipe, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2013
This recipe was delicious! I don't eat dairy, so I used a little almondmilk with vinegar instead of buttermilk, but that was the only change I made. It was done right at 1 hour and 20 minutes; I was worried it was overdone, but it was perfect. I will definetely make this recipe again and would recommend it to anyone.

One - Two - Three - Four Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
I thought this would be a great recipe, but it proved to be the opposite. I made 2 9' cakes and 4 cupcakes from the batter. When in the oven, I had to bake the cakes for 15 minutes longer than the recipe said. However, I realize that is probably because I had too much batter in each cake pan. My real problems came when getting the cakes out of the pan. I had greased and floured the pans using techniques that are tried and true, but neither cakes would come out. I let the cakes cool completely, and when I tried to get the cakes out, they both crumbled. The cake was very dry and would not stay in its cake form. The taste was also very bland and not moist at all like a cake should be. I would not recommend this recipe.

Vegan Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
Great taste and always reliable! I don't like how it uses so much oil, but I just substitute half the oil for applesauce and it turns out great. I prefer to cook it longer than recommended, and it's a bit too crumby sometimes. Overall, though, it has a great strong chocolate flavor, and I love to make it! Another tip: sometimes this recipe tastes better as leftovers.

Delicious Vegan Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
I liked this recipe, but my family did not. The hot cocoa is pretty rich. I used almondmilk (personal preference). The cayenne gives the cocoa a good little kick, maybe a little too much for my taste. Overall, I'll probably make it again but maybe change the spices a little.
