Easy Sour Cream Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
This is amazing. Doesn't need a single topping or change to the recipe (except for I, too, used a graham cracker crust instead). Thank you for sharing it!

Quick Stuffed Tomatoes

Bierock Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2006
Kind of odd, but tasty. I followed earlier suggestions about baking the bottom crust for 10 minutes, adding some water, flour and spices to the beef mixture and letting it kind of make a gravy, and mixing the cheese in with the beef rather than sprinkling on top. It was good, but we couldn't finish it all as it was extremely filling. I would probably make again with lots more tweaking.

Dijon Crusted Halibut

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2006
Delicious! I really enjoyed it, but my husband was fanatical about it and is still talking about it! I don't know why others say the horseradish taste is too strong, I didn't think so at all. Thank you for sharing, I will definitely make again.

Beef Stroganoff II

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2006
Pretty good, seemed to need something. One or two dashes of Worchestershire helped. I used ground sirloin and it came out lovely.

Jeera Fried Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
This was pretty good, a little sweeter than I expected but still a great side dish. I servied with Adrienne's Tom Ka Gai soup (recipe also found on this site), and even though this is Indian and that is Thai they went very well together.

Adrienne's Tom Ka Gai

This was FANTASTIC! Don't change a thing about it, it's absolutely perfect. Husband and I inhaled the entire pot of soup in about 5 minutes. Definitely the perfect thing to sate a Thai-craving. Thank you so much for sharing, I'll be making this about three times a week!

Pineapple Curry Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
This didn't come out quite a good as it sounded. I served it with Peanut Butter Noodles (recipe also found on this site), and that saved it somewhat, but by itself it was not great. The pineapple flavour was pretty much lost to all the curry, and the rice came out crunchy and had to be cooked longer.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
These are great and uber-easy to make...only thing I would suggest is simmering the peanut sauce a bit to thicken it, it was a bit runny. But! Runny, yummy sauce is still yummy!

Apple Pecan Cobbler

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2005
This recipe was VERY easy, and so delicious. My husband could not stop raving about it and ate like five servings. I'm forwarding this recipe to lots of my friends who like great and less-labour-intensive recipes. Thank you for sharing!

African Sweet Potato and Peanut Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2005
This soup is FANTASTIC. I don't usually use cilantro when it's called for in recipes, but it was the perfect compliment to this soup. We had some of the leftover soup two nights later and it was even better. Thank you for sharing, we'll be having this one often!

Mulligatawny Soup II

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2005
This was a delicious and fragrant soup, I didn't think 15 minutes would be long enough for the potatoes but with them cut into tiny pieces it was just the right amount of time. We added several drops of Sriracha hot sauce to each bowl as it was not very spicy. Father-in-law and husband both loved it. Thank you!

Mexican Baked Fish

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2000
This was a HUGE success when I made it for friends! I used halibut instead of cod, spendy but worth it to not have to sit picking out bones. Even friends who don't care for fish were clamouring for seconds!

Jambalaya Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2000
This was really good and nice and spicy, but be warned! If you go the store and buy everything you need for this recipe, you'll spend like forty dollars! Also, it was pretty exhausting chopping everything. This recipe would be a good group project.

Italian Rice Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2000
Not only are these really, really yummy (especially with a thick red sauce), but I find that I usually have everything I need to cook them on hand. I made these for "Cooking Night" with my friends and they were gone in seconds. They are quite labour intensive though.

Sweet and Sour Chicken II

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2000
This is the best homemade sweet and sour chicken I've ever tasted. I've made this recipe for many people and all of them have just about fainted it's so good. I also made it using soy-meatballs instead of chicken and it was scrumptious!

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2000
This cobbler was SO good, I'm ashamed to admit it, but my boyfriend and I had devoured the entire thing between the two of us by the next day! I couldn't find fresh peaches this time of year, so I confess I used canned and drained all the syrup, and it was still fantastic!

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2000
We had this soup both for dinner and for lunch the next day. My boyfriend whipped it up in about twenty minutes and then all it had to do was simmer. I don't even like tomatoes, and this was delicious!
