Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
So I tried the recipe for Thanksgiving, and it was fast and easy and very much loved by all. Thankfully I read all the reviews and will say that keeping the butter/sugar/flour - warm wasn't obvious, it is indeed a required note to not be overlooked.
I will say that I had to improvise, as I didn't have the time to weave a nice top to the pie, so I used the second pie shell and used a clean, dry, and empty beer bottle to notch out some nice holes. I will also say that it was all I could do to get 8 Granny Smith Apples into a 9" pie and I can't imagine going for 9 apples without assistance.
All in all, a fabulous pie! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
