Loved it, my changes were cooking style, not additives as much. Carrots and celery separate in chicken broth with salt pepper, then add garlic, corn and peas at the last minute. Onions with a ton of butter and make the rue... chicken with salt, pepper, goya package and the drippings of celery and carrot, plus some chicken rub.
I egg wash the bottom pie crust and bake while everything is cooking, then throw it all in together.
So very much true to the recipe, only I save the juices from the veggies for cooking the chicken (fresh chicken stock), add a goya package, and a touch of chicken rub to the chicken mix.
This must be my tenth plus time making this, it is stored in my favorites and we all love it.
Only 4 stars, because who throws out tasty stock? Use what you've just cooked!
