Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
I LOVE this recipe! I make them all the time. They are easy and so good. Everyone who has tried them loves them also. I have tweaked the add ins (instead of nuts, I've used andes mint chips, or have added almond extract and topped with raspberry cream, ... my favorite is to sub the nuts with a cup of chocolate chips.) They are always perfect and they double nicely, just use a jelly roll size pan, and you have enough for a crowd. This one is a KEEPER! Thanks for sharing!

I was glad to find this recipe because I didn't have any corn syrup on hand. I followed the directions and even used my candy thermometer but was disapointed because they turned to sugar - grainy, not chewy at all. I have never had caramel do that before. Tasted okay but won't make again.

Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2004
After trying another back of the bag recipe and failing, I found this one and it is The Best! Chewy and so good. I did put in salt and vanilla. They get nice cracks on the top and have that shine that good cookies have. I put the dough in the fridge for just a few minutes (2 or 3)like another reviewer said just until it was cool, because I was afraid they'd be flat since the dough was so soft, they turned out perfect and I won't be wasting my time or money anymore on recipes that don't turn out.

Oatmeal Fruit Cookie Mix In A Jar

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2004
These cookies are SO good. I like that they have so much fruit and grains in them. The cherries plump up a bit and are tart yet sweet. A great 'healthy' taste combination! I just mix everything together in my stand mixer and use a cookie scoop - easy. Make sure you grease the cookie sheet if not using parchment. They can get a little dry the next day, but they're usually gone by then.
