I'm a 71 year-old male who decided to learn how to cook after watching my wife cook for the last 49 years. I've dived in head first and she throws me a life preserver if I get in over my head. Really having a ball and no major disasters .......yet!

Couscous Primavera
This dish has several things going for it; easy to make, inexpensive, colorful, and very delicious. This is a definite keeper for my recipe box.

Maple Dill Carrots
I don't like carrots but this was very tasty. Used baby carrots, real maple syrup and 3/4 teaspoon dried dill. This is a keeper.

Phoenician's Key Lime Pie
I made this yesterday following the directions with the exception of using Nellie & Joe's Key West Lime Juice. This is a delicious pie, particularly the filling. The amount of sugar in the crust seemed to over power the taste of the crackers and almond blend. Next time I'll cut the sugar by half. This was in the frig a little over 24 hours and it set up perfectly. Be cautioned --- you cannot eat just one slice of this!!
