This was my first time making any kind of cheese, and it turned out wonderfully! I will definitely be making this again. I followed another review that said to bring the milk to 195 degrees. I couldn't find any cheesecloth at my local grocery store so I used coffee filters lined in a metal strainer and that worked perfectly. Can't wait to try some more herb varieties.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

This is delicious! I used more cocoa because I like dark chocolate. I didn't find it too thick like other reviews mentioned - but I had that in mind while I cooked it so I made sure not to cook it too long. I also stored it with plastic wrap directly on the top of the pudding so you don't get that yucky pudding skin while it cools.

Dilled Green Beans

Brie's Turkey and Cranberry Dog Bones

Very good! My dog loves these. I used 1/2 cup of homemade cranberry sauce instead of dried cranberries. I also tossed in 1/2 cup of left over peas. Made an adorable red and green treat. (And great way to give your pet holiday leftovers!)

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

The best cinnamon bun recipe I have ever had, ever! I love that it is all real ingredients and a non-bread maker recipe too. Everyone at work begs me to bring these for a special treat and my family melts into the ooey-ness every time I make them.

Chocolate Crackled Cookies

These are very tasty, reminded me of what a truffle would be like if you baked them. But they were very tricky to make. The powered sugar didn't coat the cookies like I wanted them to, it was kind of gooey, even though I followed the directions. Also, chilling the dough for 3 hours threw me for a loop because I made the dough, had the oven ready and then read that. The second time I made them I put them in the freezer for 45 minutes and that seemed to work the same as 3 hours in the fridge.

Buttermilk Seed Bread

I make this bread on a weekly basis. I use 1/4 cup of milled flax seeds. I brush the bread with butter as soon as it comes out of the oven for a nice soft crust. This bread is even approved by my two year old!

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Yum! I made these for a Christmas cookie exchange and my husband said "but no one likes jam filled cookies" until he tried these ones! After making many batches of these, I found that using the knuckle on my index finger to make the imprints worked best, it seemed to contain the jam better. I used chokecherry syrup which was an amazing combination.

Linguine with Clam Sauce and Baby Portobello Mushrooms

Absolutely delicious! I used Oyster mushrooms, I didn't have any chicken bouillon or Worcestershire so I had to add a little extra of the other seasonings, plus a little pepper and some fresh lemon juice. I only used 1 tbsp of butter, and that seemed to be plenty. I also went a little extra further to fancy up the meal and served it with fresh homemade pasta. Mmm, will definitely keep this recipe to make on a regular basis!

Boiled Bagels

These bagels are very delicious, but this was my very first attempt at making bagels. Anyone new to making bagels should note that the instructions should mention that the bagels must be placed in the oven immediately after boiling. I didn't have a big enough pot to boil all the bagels at once, so I had to boil them in two separate batches. The first batch that I boiled then left to sit and wait for the second batch came out of the oven very dense and rubbery. However, the batch that went directly from the boiling water into the oven came out wonderfully!

Bacon Quiche

I found this dish to be a little bit rich. The 1/4 cup of melted butter is not necessary, as the grease from the bacon is plenty enough. I did like the smoky taste of the bacon with the biscuit mixture, so I think a good substitution would be to use back bacon or thinly sliced ham instead of the regular bacon.

Power Cookies

Absolutely delicious, very soft and moist! They are a perfect camping/hiking snack. The only variations I made were I added a ripe banana to the bean and sugar mixture, I used pecans instead of walnuts, and I didn’t add coconut. Very yummy!

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Delicious! My husband and I enjoyed this very much. It made a very elegant meal, full of flavor, and very easy to make. The only changes I had made were, I didn’t use the bacon, I fried the spinach mixture in a tad bit of olive oil (instead of cooking in the microwave) and I added a couple diced mushrooms to it. It turned out wonderfully! Will definitely make this one again!

Three Meat Cannelloni Bake

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this delicious meal! I made my own pasta the night before, so it ended up taking me about a total of 5 hours to create the entire meal, but it was well worth all the work! We enjoyed it over a glass of wine. The only changes I made, was I used light cream (6%) instead of the heavy cream, and used ground turkey instead of pork. Worked well.
