Guacamole

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2011
This was my first attempt at making Guacamole and it was perfect. Only change I made was to cut the salt to 1/2 tsp. I probably used about 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper. As others suggested, keeping the pit in with the dip prevents the avocado (and your dip) from turning brown. I'll be making this again!

Crescent-Wrapped Brie

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
This was super easy to make and absolutely delicious. I removed the rind and topped the brie with raspberry preserves. I then topped the dough with some almonds. I took it to a holiday gathering and there was nothing to bring home. Will definitely be making again.

Chicken in Creamy Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
This was NOT good at all. I followed the recipe exactly and it smelled bad when I came home from work. I can't describe the taste, but it was worse than the smell.

King Crab Appetizers

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
These were good and I'll definitely make again; but I had to make a few changes and they were on the "bland" side. As others did, I added about 1/4 tsp of red pepper. I also added some Old Bay seasoning. Between the two of these, it gave the crab filling a bit more kick. I also used phyllo cups as well.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
This is by far the beat chili I have ever made. Following some of the other comments, I substituted the tomato juice with a 29oz can of crushed tomatoes and 15oz can of tomatoe sauce. I did up the chili powder to 1/3 cup as well. This is a great, and easy, meal to cook in the slow cooker (which I did). Awesome Chili!

Asiago Toasted Cheese Puffs

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
This was a hit at a wine tasting party. I agree with some of the reviews that this recipe does not make 12 servings. I tripled the recipe and had some cheese spread left over for a large french baguette.

Won Ton Wrapper Appetizers

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
Made this for a tailgate and they were gone in no time. Substituted 1/2 tsp red pepper for the black olives and that gave it a little "kick" (adjust to your tastes). Also prepared in mini-muffin pans. Brown the sausage first as other indicate and you will have an appetizer that will be gone in no time!

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
I have been making this dip for a couple of years with the following adjustments: Use light Strawberry Cream Cheese. I add 2 TBS of orange juice when mixing with the marshmallow ceam. Finally, I fold in 1 cup of Cool Whip. I never have any left overs with this dip!
