I learned to cook from my mother, grand parents and trial and error as I adapted favorite recipes to lower fat and more nutritious versions. I have been married for 34 years, have two children and work as an interior designer and soon to be peony farmer. I enjoy cooking and I enjoy eating healthy and flavorful food. Fruits,vegetables , whole grains and low fat proteins are what I try to focus on when planning meals.

My favorite family cooking traditions are Sunday dinners with extended family and Holiday meals with lots of Family around.
My cooking triumphs
One of my cooking triumphs is having my Mom tell me she loves my apple pie , as she was the master pie maker. Another triumph is learning to incorporate whole wheat pastry flour in a lot of the recipes that I used to use regular white flour.
My cooking tragedies
My experiments with tofu were mostly disasterous.
