About this Cook
I am just boring old me. I was trained as a chef but do not work as a chef now.
My favorite things to cook
Ethnic dishes, seafood, comfort foods smoothies and anything in the ever present crock pot.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Exotic and unique but also comfort foods.
My cooking triumphs
I don't know if you would call them triumphs. Sometimes people love the recipe I have put made and sometimes they do not. I love it when people enjoy my food and ask that a dish be made again or ask for the recipe.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to mention but I am happy to report all the structures I worked in are still standing.

Cousin David's Slow Cooker Brisket
I wish I could not even give this one star. This was the worst crock pot recipe I have ever come across. Followed it to a T and had to throw it out and open the doors to air out the apartment as the smell was so vile and no, it did not burn. I am glad people have been successful with it but I do not know how. I use my crockpot at least 3x a week and this is the worst recipe I have ever made......bar none.

Cool and Spicy Melon Soup
"2 lime juice"? 2 what? Tablespoons, teaspoons, 2 limes? Can someone let me know what this is? I have made soups like this in the past that were amazing (hence the rating because I had to rate it to ask the question). I assume this is 2 T of lime juice but it would be nice to know.

Apple and Onion Beef Pot Roast
I didn't care for this at all. . It was just bland pot roast and I usually serve foods with more spice and zing. I won't be making it again.
