So yesterday there was a bit of confusion in bellepepper's thread:

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe-Exchange/Recipe-Request.aspx?requestID=230449<

I have found a way to show you all what I could see last night!

I took screen shots last night but I could not get them to copy into Blogger or here as they were not being recognised as photos, so following a little bit of help from my friends,

tyle="font-family:Verdana,Helvetica,Arial; font-size:11px">

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends,

Mmm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
Ooh, I get high with a little help from my friends
Yes I get by with a little help from my friends,
with a little help from my friends

(sorry for the musical interlude/distraction, but if I'm gonna have it stuck in my head so are you LOL)

Anyway I now have the screenshots as photos!!

This first one is what I saw as I entered the site:

as posted by linda2d

This second one is what I saw when I clicked "+ View Larger Image"

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And this is the photo posted on yesterday voting pages (todays 2nd place "winner") by eric1234 which was the cause of the "discussion"

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

As you can clearly see the photo eric1234 posted as his, is most definitely the exact same photo as you see in screen-shot pic # 2 above.

I hope this clears up matters.

As usual thanks for stopping by, take a minute more and just say Hi!

Thats definately not the first time someone has copied a pic and used it as there own. I remember not long ago someone copied a members photo and used it in a similar but different recipe. The member seen it and was not very happy

Oh I know Coot, but the issue last night was that some people could not see the image I have in screen-shot #2 so therefore assumed it wasn't really there!

AR should just eliminate the voting and let all the photos of food rotate during the day. You have to feel a little sorry for anyone so needy that they would cheat. It isn't like there is a huge prize or anything. You went to a lot of trouble to share your view (of the cupcakes) nice job!

What I find so interesting is that people aren't seeing the same thing even now if I click the link you posted I DO NOT get the first image even before I click the larger+. I never saw the other image except for in the link that Mom posted to the blog(which I also never read) The blog I was referring to was a different one altogether that gave credit(imagine that) to nestle and meals.com The internet is a funny place, no where's my darn pot?!

Apr. 5, 2011 2:31 pm
LMAO!! Linda when you find yer pot, remember sharing is caring...!!

Apr. 5, 2011 2:34 pm
BigShotsMom I felt I had to show what I was seeing, it was worth the trouble, I'm sure linda2d would agree with me!

Apr. 5, 2011 2:35 pm
I saw the pic this morning but didn't pay that much attention to it. I don't get people who take credit for a picture they didn't take. No double they cut and pasted it as their own. Sad

I emailed the Customer Service people not too long ago because I recognized a picture that someone had posted as one I had just seen in a Taste of Home email. When I looked at the person's photos they were all of Taste of Home pictures. It took a little while but AR finally removed them after I tattled on the person. Difference here is that they did not win the photo contest for no prize.

When I clicked the +view larger image all I get is the same image, not a different one. Soooo...we each 'saw' something different. Don't know why...there's no stars up in the sky...Hahahahahaha! But I did find the single cupcake image under a different nestle website.

I would like to acknowledge that I really don't believe that everyone realizes that any image on the internet isn't theirs for the using and perhaps has no idea that their uploaded downloaded photos appear anywhere other than their personal profile page.

They do look very similar but I can see the frosting is different- One is a tad darker. Also one has more a little larger yellowish bead thingies and the other one white with more of them.

Apr. 5, 2011 2:56 pm
BUT The second and third photo are exactly the same.

Pass it here, linda.

Great investigative work there chica... :) I have been out of town since Friday and knew not of what happened (as usual, I miss out on some great 'lively' discussions...) Thanks for clearing this up - and AR should hopefully take NOTE of this little incident and send eric1234 a nice letter letting him/her know the line that was crossed....

I am so confused because when I go to that site and enlarge I see the first one - WOW maybe I need a hit of that stuff also -

Apr. 5, 2011 3:29 pm
I get the first image for both vies if I use IE(which I never do), the second image for both views in FF(which I always use). Soooo my mixed results people, what browser do you use? Is there a connection?

Seems we went through this yesterday.....when I click this link...http://www.meals.com/Recipes/Red-Velvet-Cupcakes.aspx?recipeid=144770< .....I still see the same different picture I saw yesterday where the frosting is swirled in a couterclockwise direction and has very sharp edges and some red sprinkles NOT the picture shown in the enlarged view above. That to me is different from the smaller blob of frosting shown in the 2 pictures above. I don't know how to copy/paste the image I see here, but I am seeing a different enlarged picture then you are.

I would like to give Eric the benefit of the doubt, maybe he did not know this was going to go through to voting and end up of the front screen, maybe it was for their own personal reference, lets face it, its sure one delicious photo. I did have another member who copied quite a few of my own photos and list them as there's on different recipes. I was looking through the voting page one day and spotted one of my own photos, when I went through to their profile they had done the same to several more of my photos. At first I was not sure how to take this, was it a compliment or not. In the end I decided to contact AR, I try and come up with creative photos (mostly for my own personal use ~ I have them printed in hardback books) and decided I did not want anyone else to have credit for my own work. Had they contacted me first then that would have been a different matter! AR sent me a very nice email, complemented me on my contribution to AR and swiftly removed the photos from the other members profile. The question I always ask myself, is why would anyone really bother to cheat, its not as though a shiny new sports car is awaiting the winner!!!

This might seem crazy, but could it be because Trishie is in Ireland that a different second picture comes up? In the past I remember seeing on the web that people in different countries could not access some things. That was a while ago, but I'm just throwing that out there. By the way, I get the same 2 pics when I enlarge the original one also. But to me it's obviously the same photo shoot.

Looks like AR has taken note as that photo has been removed from the front page and my Irish Pound cake is now in 4th place.

good for you apple, as it should be, just real photos. So glad you got this straightened out Lass. I do hope Keni sees this blog, poor thing was bouncing back and forth trying to show us all what she saw. I was worried she would burst a blood vessel or somthing. I hope somoene emails or or catches her on FB like they do when there is a shout out.

Thank you RN Grandma, that cake tasted so good too. Its all gone now unfortunately but replaced by a very nice easy applesauce cake!!!

Apr. 5, 2011 4:38 pm
I still see the photo on my front page.

I like the suggestion made by BigShotsMom. Why not just rotate photos?
