Toffee Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
I tried this for a breakfast pitch-in and now it gets requested and I'm not allowed to bring anything else. I find anything made with buttermilk is divine so I use it whenever I can. I followed the advise and baked it in a 9x9 pan. You need to try this recipe !! You'll get a following!!

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I doubled the brown sugar and pecans, but it was too much. I should have stuck with the recipe as stated!! It gave a messy presentation, but the taste was outstanding!! I won't deviate next time!!

Sausage Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
The family loved this!! When peppers are plentiful in the summer, I coarse chop them and keep them in the freezer. They were perfect for this recipe. I used turkey sausage as that's what I had on hand. Wonderful to eat on a cold winter's night!

Corn Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
Substituted 1 can black beans as previous posters and added a can of rotel, but found it still needed more kick for my liking. Tasted great with blue corn chips. Will add some red pepper next time.

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
I was so excited watching how these puffed up as they baked! I haven't had great results with previous recipes from this site. So I scaled this to 6 servings, used half ww and half ap flour, added 1 cup buttermilk, kneaded 10 times, and baked at 450F for 12 minutes. Perfect results!!

Texas Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
I had some leftover Big Al's KC Bar-B-Q sauce (the best), from this site, and decided to try this. I only had a red onion, so I skipped the honey/onion saute. Added a touch of chipotle peppers (needed to use up). Turned out quite yummy. Great way to use up leftovers in a quick easy meal. Will make again!!

Grilled Salmon II

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
Fantastic recipe. I've made this twice this week. The first time on salmon. The second time I used it on pork chops. Both got raves! The only change I made was subbing EVOO for peanut oil (didn't have any). Both times, I only had 3-4 hours to marinate and they had fabulous flavor!! This one is a winner!!

Homemade Pancake Mix

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
I found this recipe last spring and it has been our Sunday tradition ever since! I use 3C white and 3C WW flours. To one cup of mix we add 1C buttermilk, 1 egg, and 1 tsp vanilla. I'm just getting getting ready to make a batch to take on our family vacation! Thanks for a great recipe!!

Chipotle Mayo

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I took this to a cookout last night and they put it on everything: raw veggies, chicken, hamburgers, corn chips. I did take the advice of others and add lime juice and garlic. I did add an additional 1/4 C of mayo and 1/4 C plain yogurt and this was enough heat for us!!

Restaurant-Style Taco Meat Seasoning

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2008
I've tried a couple other taco seasoning recipes from this site and I like this one the best. I did use corn meal as I had no corn flour. This recipe is mild enough if feeding kids, but can easily be "kicked" up for those who enjoy more heat!

I used 1T of "Italian Dressing Mix" from this site...I just prefer making my own as to buying a premix. To the veggies, I added Kirkland grilled chicken breast strips and dinner was ready in no time!!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2008
I absolutely love this recipe!! I've made this several times. I always use half and half and start with 1 cup and add until I get the consistancy I want. I usually make this when I have leftover chicken to use or I saute up some mushrooms. It's a recipe you must try!!

Chocolate heaven!! Used 1C WW flour, and decreased sugars to 1/2 C each, just as a personal preference. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside!!
