I'm married with 2 young kids. I went to Johnson & Wales for my degree in Culinary Arts and when my first child was born, I quit my regular job to stay home. This is when I began a smalll catering business.
My favorite things to cook
Anything sauteed! I love to try new things, but I think my strong points are saute and sauces. I do enjoy baking, but I give it away so I won't be tempted to eat it all (much to my husband's grief). Italian and Thai are some of my favorite cuisines (to cook AND eat). Soups are fun to make, too!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cook often and cook a LOT! We are a big Italian family and get together often to eat together!
My cooking triumphs
Well, I know I'm supposed to write about something I've cooked, but I don't know exactly what was my best triumph. But I'll say that my greatest triumph so far is being hired as a chef for a very gourmet catering/take-out business!
My cooking tragedies
I set my grill (and almost my whole deck)on fire while making cedar planked salmon. My grill looked like a supernova.
