Guacamole

Loved the taste but I found the tomato , which I seeded , left it with a slimey texture. I may make it again omitting the tomatos.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Awesome recipe ! Rolled the dough about 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface. I used an over-sized cookie cutter so the recipe only yielded 40 cookies. Oh and I baked them for 10 minutes on a silpat lined cookie tray. Crispy on the outside but soft and tender inside. Perfect !!

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Theses have a real kick of heat ! Used 15 stuffer sized mushroom caps with 1 brick of cream cheese and still had enough left over to do another half dozen. Will definatly make these again :)

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

The best and easy , easy , easy !! I used abour 3 pounds of Ground beef because it was all frozen together. Drained and rinsed the beans and used a whole large jar of salsa ( because of the extra meat ). I also used the whole packet of seasoning mix- about 5 or so tbsp instead of 4. We like things a bit on the spicy side :). Simmered for one hour and served with icy cold sour cream , grated cheddar cheese ,diced avacado with a squeeze of lime and crispy nacho chips on the side. Tonight , chili dogs !!!! Thanks Debdoozie !

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

This was wicked good and went together so fast ! The only changes I made was to add about 21/2 cups of ham,3 small onions and about 1/2 of a large carrot in very small dice for color. Will make this recipe every time I have leftover ham in the freezer...just wonderful :)

Cabbage Rolls II

This recipe was great ! Some suggestions by other reviewers need to be followed.I cooked my cabbage rolls in my slow cooker, which tends to run hot , so 6-61/2 hours was plenty of time on low. I doubled the sauce as suggested , but next time will triple it. I added 1 heaping tsp of minced garlic and about 1/2 cup of chopped onion to the filling. I also used a heaping 1/4 cup measure when filling the cabbage which resulted in exactly 12 perfect sized rolls. My mom made these when we were growing up all the time but, this was my first attempt. Thanks for a great recipe :)

Coconut Cream Pie I

I have to admit that I only used this recipe as a guide. I used coconut pudding mix instead of vanilla,a graham cracker crust instead of a pastry one and topped it with real whipped cream instead of frozen whipped topping. As a jumping off point it deserves all 5 stars. Thanks for a great basic recipe !

Banana Crumb Muffins

These are delicious ! The reason for the 4 star rating is because I doubled the recipe and the muffins became heavy and greasy. Make as directed and DO NOT DOUBLE and you will have a perfect muffin every ime !

These turn out great every time ! Be careful with the milk though - depending on the humidity of the day ,the flour might not take it all and leave your dough too sticky and wet - add the milk slowly,working your dough as you go.

Basil Shrimp

outstanding! Wisk ingredients together and pour over shrimp in a zip lock bag . Grill and gobble them up! I used yellow instead of brown mustard. You would not even know mustard was part of the recipe. Fresh basil all the way though!
