I really enjoyed this version of scalloped potatoes! I will make them again! I topped mine up with bread crumbs and melted butter, made it nice & crispy!

Chef John's Salt Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2014
well, I really mucked this recipe...I used sea salt instead of Kosher--didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but it did. The chicken came out greasy and way to salty tasting, and the jus is inedible. Sorry Chef-will try again using kosher next time! I don't think it is proper to give this recipe a rating until I follow it exactly so I will give it a 3 for now.

Chef John's Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2014
mmm ~ very good Chef! Love it, will make again! Of course I added a bit of my own tweaks like cayenne pepper, onion salt, garlic salt, pepper, thyme, Worchestershire, & celery seed to bump up the meat mixture a bit, also used as much beef broth as I saw fit- I didn't measure. I used frozen vegies as recommended and a can of cream corn. Oh and lots of CHEESE! This was the best shepherds pie recipe I have ever found! Thank You & keep these wonderful recipes coming!

awsome recipe! Next time I will reduce the pepper quantities--little too spicy for my taste, but otherwise--AWSOME!

Very good! Thank you so much for submitting this very simple recipe. I loved it! (made it for "Juicy Roasted Chicken", which I also loved-and this gravy DID NOT DISAPPOINT!)
