Cake Balls

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
I just made these with german chocolate cake mix and coconut pecan frosting. Very rich, very sweet & very good. I mixed the freshly baked cake in my mixer until it turned into a dough consistency & then added the frosting. I froze them before dipping as others suggested. I melted chocolate chips to dip them in & I think this made the coating a little too thick. I just googled how to thin melted chocolate & it said to add a small bit of shortening so I think I'll try that next time. It makes alot of cookie balls. I got 48 large balls out of this batch. Thanks for sharing this great recipe.

Orange Chicken and Vegetable Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
Yuck. I love orange chicken, but I didn't like this at all. Very faint orange flavor, mostly tasted like soy sauce. I'll never make this again.

Hawaiian Belly Buster Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
These had a nice taste, but they wouldn't stick together. My husband tried to cook them on the grill like the recipe said, but when he tried to flip the first one it fell apart. He ended up bringing them in and I finished cooking them on the stove, but they still were pretty hard to flip and get on the buns without them falling to pieces.

Gourmet Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2006
Another five star recipe on Allrecipes.com. Is this a great website or what? These potatoes are excellent. Very quick, very easy, and very tasty. I boiled the potatoes and then just slashed trough them with a knife while they were still in the pan. No need to cool them first. The sauce looked runny, but thickened up while in the oven. I'll be making this recipe again, and again, and again.

Easiest BBQ Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2006
This was a great tasting, quick & easy recipe. I added potatoes, carrots, sausage and the pork chops to the crockpot. Since I was adding so much more food I doubled the liquid. I made it with part BBQ sauce & part ketchup along with the cream of mushroom soup. The meat turned out very tender. Just as a side note, the pork chops do not need to be browned before placing in the crockpot. I really wasn't sure if they needed to be or not, but since the recipe didn't call for it I didn't brown them & they came out great. Thanks for sharing!

This received rave reviews from my two daughters, aged 15 and 8. We had bought fancy drinking glasses at the dollar store & needed something festive to fill them with, this drink was perfect. A nice summer drink.

Coconut Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2006
Oh my gosh, this was soooooooooo good! I was looking for a recipe that my 8 year old could make & this was a great choice. She was proud to have done it herself with only a little help from me on the sideline. Who would think that something with so few ingredients could turn out so well. We made the recipe just as described & it turned out perfect. Lots of coconut flavor.

Crispy Cheese Twists

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2006
This was prepared by my 15 year old daughter. They turned out terrific. I had never worked with puff pastry myself and thought she might run into problems, but it was a really easy recipe. They came out light, fluffy & delicious. After trying a few of them, the whole family requested she make them again soon!

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2004
I absolutely love this recipe. I've made it a few times now & it is always a favorite. I agree that it is more like a bread pudding, but that's not a bad thing. Even my fussy 12 year old likes this.
