My name is Antonia, and I absolutely adore cooking and baking! I currently attend a boarding school, and our dorm kitchen constantly smells of various baked goodies! I enjoy making new foods to try and to taste!
My favorite things to cook
Cinnamon rolls, crescent rolls, pies (esp. pumpkin and lemon meringue), Julia Child's cream chicken with paprika and onions, and really any classic dinner/lunch/breakfast foods!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking traditions are: making turkey and pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, baking almost anything sugary and "helping" my uncle and father make (more like taste-test!) ribs and pulled pork on Christmas, and - yes it's a little weird - but take-out Chinese food for New Year's!
My cooking triumphs
I helped my host mother in France make a lemon meringue pie - my absolute favorite next to pumpkin pie! My arm was tired from all of that whipping the meringue, but I sure was happy that I got to eat the tasty treat!
My cooking tragedies
I really haven't been cooking enough for there to be any tragedies! The only thing that I can think of is when I was younger, I was helping my mom make dinner, and I was sloppily stirring the zucchini that was on the stove, and one popped up right on my face, and I had a little red burn mark for two or three days - ow!
