Orange Drop Cookies I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2014
Nice delicate cookie. I used butter instead of shortening and doubled the frosting recipe but other than that, I stuck to the recipe. Very light cookie. Thank you for posting.

Bev's Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2014
I was surprised when it called for flour instead of corn starch but went ahead and made the pie. This was more like a brownie pie

Sy's Challah

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2014
Excellent recipe! One thing I do have to comment on is that if you live at high altitude you will need to work another 1/2 to 1 cup of flour in and also cut your baking time down to 25 to 30 minutes. Do let the dough rise a second time before shaping into the loaves. Makes for a great bread!!!! Super recipe that anyone can do!!!!!

New Mexico Green Chile Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2013
I live in Albuquerque and this is close to what we get in the restaurants but leave the beef out. Make it with pork or chicken and it will be much better and cut down on cilantro since that will overcome the great taste of this stew.

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
Good, soft cookie but if you live at high altitude, as I do, please add a tablespoon of water or the dough will be too dry. This recipe is MUST in my recipe box now.

Jam Kolaches

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
Fabulous Kolache recipe!!! The dough is tender (I live in New Mexico at a high altitude and had to add a 1/4 cup of flour and a 1/4 cup of water but I know I have to compensate for the altitude) and is a wonderful match to the jam filling!!! Yum!!! Thank you for posting!!!!

I thought I would try this because all the ingredients sounded fabulous, if not a bit too much, I did not care for this recipe.

Peanut Butter Cookies VI

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
This is an outstanding recipe. One thing though, if you live in high altitude add an extra 1/2 cup flour. Keep an eye on them when they are baking and let them cool a bit on the cookie sheet before removing them so they don't fall apart which is what I expect happened to CheerlChick88's cookies.

I needed a bunch of these so I doubled the recipe. I used 1 1/2 cups sugar because what was put in the recipe was not enough. Other that I changed nothing else. Really good cookie!!!!! Thank you!!!!

Baked Custard for Two

The custard is super easy and tastes wonderful. One correction. Ms. Wilson is from Roswell, NM not Rosewell, NM. There is not a town named Rosewell in New Mexico.

Favorite Bourbon Pecan Pie

This was okay. I was born and raised in Georgia and ours was much more flavorful. Needs more butter and bourbon taste which I will add the next time I make this pie.

Oatmeal Lace Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
These were great but watch these cookies like a hawk!!!! That will get too brown really quick!!! I also slowed my oven down to 350 since 375 was too high for my oven. I used one of the other reviewers ideas and used maple syrup instead of corn starch and added 1/4 tsp cinnamon. All I can say are are delicious!!!!! Thank for posting!!!
