Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2004
I had 2.5 cups of grated parmesan and 1/2 c of other kind. I stirred for about an hour before giving up. The sauce was extremely rich and tasty and the parmesan that didn't melt was as if I'd sprinkled some on. I'll make again and doubling serves 5-6 adults well. Sauted cubed chicken with seasoning and added towards last bit just to warm through. 4 star the way I made it, but 5 star potential. Hope to shorten cook time too!

Banana Split Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2004
My co-worker found this recipe and brought it to work. Makes ALOT, served 10 pple for two days of dessert. I will be savoring the last serving of this weeks' run tomorrow. TRY THIS RECIPE!!! Oh, let me just say to put pineapple in strainer. First time I didn't drain sufficiently and it made dessert a bit too liquidy.

Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2004
I too added all of the brown gravy mix, threw in some carrots and potatoes, cooked in crock pot 4 hours on high. I used a diff. cut of meat, so added meat tenderizer and did not brown ahead of time.. it was so good my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Southern Pecan Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2004
Perfect pecan pie. The only thing I do different from what the directions have, is covered edges of crust with aluminum foil while baking so they don't get too browned. I've already made this twice and it's heaven each time!

Oh this was good! I used red potatoes instead, cubed into 1 inch pieces, same boil time. I used velveeta cheese and everything else was the same. This was awesome!!!

Thighs on Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2004
This is a super easy and good basic recipe. I did what others suggested and added 1/2 cup of water. I warmed up water (just the 1/2) with butter and minced onions, then added to rice and rest of water. I browned the thighs as suggested, and added frozen mixed veggies to mixture. Baked covered 45 min, then 15 uncovered. Came out really good, and as long as you are using enough seasoning, it's not bland. This recipe is easy to do and alter to preference. Thanks!!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2004
I made this as an alternate to how we usually cook salmon. I had to oven bake it but it still came out wonderful! Of course it's high in sodium, so won't make often, but definitely a fabulous indulgence. Oh and there were zero leftovers although I had 2lbs of salmon feeding four adults and one child.

Suzy's Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2004
Excellent basic recipe. I like the added nutrition from eating the skins. I did not cut the potatoes small enough (probably 1 inch pieces best?) but I'll definitely make again.

This recipe is so delicious it's almost illegal! We had to hide the dip so guests arriving late could actually try some it was going so fast. I'll be making it again for a work potluck and I can't wait.. YUM!
