Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
This cheese ball was a hit at my holiday party! I did not have any pecans so I rolled the cheese ball in bacon bits (who doesn't love bacon) which was such an incredible addition! The rich cheese, ranch taste and smoky bacon on buttery crackers was so great that my family requested that I make it for every party. Thanks for the recipe!

Pistachio Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2013
I absolutely loved this cookies! I also reduced the amount of flour (it was just too much) to 2 1/2 cups. I also used white chocolate chips rather than chocolate (personal preference). They came out great! I put them on my tray of holiday cookies and they were a huge hit! I will make these often!

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
This was delicious!! Only subtle changes I made was using beef broth instead of water and bouillon and added a couple of dashes of dried oregano and parsley. I also omitted the onions because I regrettably was out and didn't realize. The onions would have made it, so don't forget them like I did!! I followed the advice of others and added the peppers one hour before eating. Served over rice and this is just great!!

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
Great starter recipe! I tweaked it a little to modify what I had on hand. Instead of tomato sauce I used tomato paste and half a can of tomato soup. I also added a whole onion while cooking the meat and fresh minced garlic, as others suggested. I used the remaining can of tomato soup mixed with water as the sauce to pour over the top. This cooked nicely covered with foil for almost a full hour. No need to pre-cook the peppers, mine came out perfect!

Sweet and Sour Chicken Using Italian Dressing and Apricot Jam

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
This was such a great recipe! I nixed the dried onion and added a dash of red pepper flakes for a little heat. After browning the chicken a bit on the stove I threw everything together in my slow cooker and put it on high for about 3-4 hours. The chicken shredded up nicely which I thought made it easier to serve and eat! Great recipe that is super easy and makes for a quick, unique supper! Thanks!

Slow Cooker Pierogie Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
This recipe was great!! I stumbled across it and I like all of the ingredients so I figured I'd give it a shot. My boyfriend was very glad I did! This dish was great! I added a few splashes of chicken broth which gave it more flavor. It is hearty enough to use as a whole meal but also would work for a potluck or party dish! Very good!

Italian Lemon Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
I was hesitant to make these after reading the reviews but I had all of the ingredients so I figured I'd give them a shot. I actually enjoyed them quite a bit! The raw dough was not good so I was nervous for the turn out but they were pretty tasty! The frosting definitely made them so do not skimp on that! I will probably make these again!

Cream Cheese Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
I used the entire 8oz of cream cheese and these cookies were fabulous! Strawberry preserves pressed into the center made a delicious strawberry cheesecake-ish cookie! I made these for Christmas and they were a huge hit!

Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
This was a good basic recipe. I prefer chicken stroganoff but this was a nice change. I added a spoonful of cream cheese for an extra punch of flavor. Also took other suggestions and added Worcestershire sauce to the beef while it was cooking. I also did need a splash of milk to thin it out. Good, simple dinner that I will make again.

Slow-Cooker Lasagne

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
This was so easy and delicious!! I followed other's suggestions and added a bit of seasoning (whatever I had on hand that mixed well) and used half ricotta and half cottage cheese. I am not a huge fan of lasagna so I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this as much as I did! I will use this recipe again!!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
This was so delicious and easy! I added a little bit of sour cream for personal preference but this would have been great without it!!! I had never tried chicken stroganoff before and this was a fabulous new recipe that I will use again and again!

Sausage, Peppers, Onions, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
So delicious! I used smoked sausage, as my boyfriend and I do not care for spicy Italian. I also added celery to the veggie mix and strictly chicken stock as I did not have white wine. Next time I will use the wine, it might give it an extra boost of flavor. Other than that this dish was so delicious and easy! Great way to use up veggies in the house! I will make again for sure!

Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
This is my boyfriend's favorite dish that I make! I did not have cloves of garlic, but jarred minced garlic which I found to work just as well.I have made this three times now, each time it seems to get better. I also seasoned the chicken breasts with pepper, and a dash of seasoning salt. Excellent recipe! It tastes like you worked all day on it!

Erin's Cheesy Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
I had to add a few spices to this dish to make it more flavorful. I added garlic powder, salt and pepper, seasoning salt and even a bit of cinnamon to give it something special. This really added to the already good soup. The only complaint that I had was that it was a bit too creamy. In all fairness that's just my personal taste! Great recipe! Might try again with ham or bacon bits!

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
I probably shouldn't fairly rate this dish because I changed a couple of major things about it. Instead of stuffing mix I had boxed scalloped potatoes on hand so I used them on top. This was delicious but the entire dish did not stay together well. Splitting open the chicken and stuffing the ham and cheese inside would have been much better. I also used real off the bone ham, not deli meat which gave it a better taste. I will perhaps try this recipe again but I will follow the recipe exactly and see if it makes a difference.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
This sauce was very yummy and super simple! The only change I made was adding seasoned chicken breasts and canned tomatoes. Fresh tomatoes would have been better but I didn't have any on hand. I was shocked at how delicious this was for such a simple recipe! I will use this again and again for many pasta dishes in the future!

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
Easy and yummy dish! I added a salsa and sour cream mixture to the layers before baking it. And as other reviewers have said, I didn't bake the crust all the way through before adding the layers. Other than that I wouldn't change much about this easy recipe!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
Very good and easy recipe for quick dinner! I added potatoes to the crock pot to soak in the flavor and make it a full meal. I am not a fan of traditional roasts so the tangy sauce in this recipe really gave it an interesting and different flavor for me! I will definitely use this again!
