So im here lying in bed, bored out of my Ming harking my lungs out.so unpleasant but all I can think about is cooking.i think I've exhausted American cuisine so I want to get into trying something new.i really like the taste of Greek food and also Asian flavors so when I get better I plan to dabble in that.

On another note its almost Christmas! Doesn't feel like it though and its coming up on me so quick.i figured I'd get a few of my girlfriends together and wed go out to dinner or something. Since i don't have a facility to bake in i was thinking about taking some cookies and candy and giving it out at businesses or children's homes or something attached with my business card for marketing. Can anyone think of ways I can get my name out there or a product I can sell that's not baked food but can still represent what im doing until I get a kitchen.i don't want this dead in the water.ive got my website my business cards im pretty set....HELP!

You're in a tough spot. Have you tried schools in the area that might have certified kitchens that they just don't use anymore? A lot of schools have centralized the food prep facilities. They may still have all of the equipment in the school. Maybe you could work out a deal there. How about trying churches in the area? They might have a facility that could be certified without much bother. I can envision a win/win if schools or a church could give you free or reduced rent for baked goods to distribute to the needy or for their school lunches!

The marketing idea that you have is great except people will want to buy your product and not be able to.

I roast coffee at home. I wish I had the funds to go take some real training. It's a fascinating area. Gotta have my coffee!!!

About Me
Hi I'm Eva! I hope you enjoy my recipes. I am a home cook trying to start my own baking business (if I can just find a licensed kitchen in my area) and with the hope of one day owning my own restaurant. Until I get a GREAT job or win the lottery that may be a little ways off but with God all things are possible!
My favorite things to cook
I make a pretty mean roasted chicken. Fried Veggies, pork steak and baked tilapia.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Big holiday meals with all the fixins!
My cooking triumphs
Green Beab casserole, fried veggies, and baked bbq ribs.
My cooking tragedies
ooo i'd have to say I cannot bake a cupcake from scratch to save my life.
