Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
This was really good. I used dry onion soup mix, half package and it turned out delicious! Served with melted provolone on rolls and horseradish sauce! Yum!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
I was disappointed with this recipe. I used chicken broth instead of water and also added veggies. It was okay. The chicken was very tender and moist, just not enough flavor for me. Too close to chicken pot pie, without the nicely browned crisp crust.

Oatmeal Grapefruit Quick Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
I thought this was awful. I re-read the recipe to make sure I followed it correctly and I did. It came out heavy without much flavor. Threw out the whole thing.

All American Roast Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2005
This roast turned out very good. My roast was mostly frozen so I increased the bake time by 10 min. per pound. I liked how brown the roast got at 375 and alot of pan drippings for gravey. I think I will cook all my beef roasts like this from now on.

This is really good! I used a ready made pie crust and pressed the pecans into it. The whole family loved this pie.

Chicken Tortilla Soup III

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2005
This is very good! I used fat free half & half and it was still delicious. Even my family loved it after I made them try it! Then it was gone.

The Best Chicken Salad Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2005
This is very good. I used mayonaise and the coleslaw dressing. I like that I can process it to what ever consistency I like. I have made this several times and it's a keeper.

Oven Fried Chicken IV

Really didn't like the flavor of this. Maybe too much rosemary?? The texture and cooking method I thought was very good but overall no one finished the chicken.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2004
I hate to be the only negative review but my turkey was very dry. I couldn't believe it after all the great reviews. I used a fresh bird and followed the directions to the letter. The bird looked beautiful when it came out of the oven but so disappointing when there was no juice when slicing.

Praline Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2004
These were a big hit with the family for our early Thanksgiving this year. I only used 1 TBS. of vanilla though and it was plenty. Will make again.

Cream Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2004
This was pretty good. I used red onion since I didn't have any green onion on hand and it worked fine. Family and company seemed to enjoy it as well.

Spicy Sweet Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2004
This was okay but not a big hit at a family gathering. I used half the amount of curry and it was still strong. Probably will not make again.

Crab Quiche I

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2004
This is very good. I made a few changes to help cut the fat. I used light mayo, egg substitute and fat free half & half for the milk. I also used regular onion since I didn't have any green onions on hand. It was delicious even with the low fat substitutions I made.

I was looking for a different meatloaf recipe and I found it. I used half an envelope of beefy onion soup mix and added bacon and ketchup on top. The family enjoyed it.
