Festive and easy! I used red velvet cake mix which went well with Cool Whip topping.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
I had never made macaroni salad before but I promised myself that on this July 4th I would not settle for bland supermarket macaroni salad! I read the reviews and used less vinegar and sugar but otherwise followed the recipe faithfully. I thought the end result was a little salty for my taste (I tend not to use a lot of salt in food) so I added 4 boiled eggs. It was truly delicious. The salad had that homey "pleasing taste" like the description says. My family loved it. They liked that it wasn't overwhelmingly mayonnaise-y. I can't wait to have some more tomorrow and see how much better it tastes. Thank you for a great recipe. I will never buy macaroni salad from store again.

Scrambled Eggs Done Right

Perfect! I just made it an hour ago. Mayo adds yummy flavor and really smooth texture. I had to look up all of Whats His Face's recipes and reviews. His family must eat very well. I envy them.

Thai Beef Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2005
I couldn't believe how good this recipe turned out to be! So easy too. I made it two days in a row. I think it makes a big difference to use the very best cut of meat you can afford. I used 1-inch shell steak pan-seared about 4 minutes each side. It's even better the next day after it's marinated for a while. It's good as a salad or over rice (I chopped the vegetables extra small). I used more chili sauce and less fish sauce than the recipe. If you've never had fish sauce before, I really recommend that you start with just a little because it's quite strong. I'm thinking about making this with tofu intead of steak next time.

Four Seasons Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2005
The best thing about this recipe is that you don't have to peel, cut, or chop anything. Just open jars/cans and mix! I followed it exactly except I used leftover roasted pork instead of turkey. It was surprisingly delicious.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2005
This is the first time I've every roasted a chicken. It couldn't have been easier. I left it in the oven until the meat thermometer reached 180 degrees, about 4 hours. The meat was very moist and the skin was light & crispy, not greasy like on some store-bought chicken. I will definitely make this again and again.

Lemon Pepper Cod

Couldn't be simpler. You really don't need anything else, though sometimes I like to add some salsa as a topping. Works just as well with limes.

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2004
The recipe was really easy to follow and it came out very pretty. However, both my boyfriend and I thought the sauce was just too pineapple-y. We had to put some ketchup on it to balance out the sourness.

Tofu Parmigiana

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2004
This was very good but I don't know about it tasting like veal or eggplant...it tastes like tofu which is fine with me since I love it. If you plan to have this with pasta, I recommend you get a jar of spaghetti sauce and use 1/2 for baking and 1/2 for later. You won't have enough sauce otherwise.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2004
I just finished polishing off a big plate of this! It was super easy to make and delicious. I would say that if you think BBQ potato chips are spicy, you should use the recipe as is. If you are the type who adds hot sauce to everything you eat, then you should definitely add more spices. I didn't measure anything, just eyeballed it. I used rigatoni instead of linguini and cut up the chicken & vegetables smaller. I can't wait to make it again with broccoli or asparagus like other reviews suggested.

Ahi Poke Basic

I've been making this every other week since I discovered the recipe three months ago. It's a refreshing and tasty dish for warm/hot weather, and the leftover is great for packed lunch...it tastes even better the next day.

Strawberry Romaine Salad I

This salad was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating it! I didn't have any poppy seeds but the dressing turned out yummy anyway. Next time I'm going to try adding some mango slices.

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2004
This essentially a Korean BBQ marinade. I only realized this after I tasted my steak...I'm Korean-American and don't cook Korean food much. I checked with my mom and sure enough the ingredients match. It was yummy but I give it 4 stars only because it's such a familiar taste for me. If you like this flavor, you should try your local Korean restarant.

Cranberry BBQ Chicken

This was very easy to make and delicious. Just the right combination of sweet and tart. I bought a fryer chicken and cut the pieces even smaller, reducing the cooking time to 1 hour.

I followed the recipe exactly except for the cornstarch. Loved it! We had it with rice last night and we're having the leftovers with boiled potatoes tonight. Can't wait to make it again.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2004
I always order curry with coconut milk at Thai restaurants. This is the first time I've ever made my own and it turned out fantastic. I added diced potatoes and frozen peas. You could use firm tofu instead of chicken for vegetarians.

Mexican Baked Fish

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2004
My boyfriend and I made this last night. We rarely make fish dishes other than salmon, but this was very easy to prepare and really delicious. We followed the recipe exactly except for the avocado. We were both skeptical about the corn chips, but it ended up being the best thing about the dish.
