Roasted Winter Squash Seeds

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
I just made these....while supper was cooking. Love them! I used olive oil since the oven temp was low, but I think next time I'll use my grapeseed oil, since it's a medium to high heat oil that does not turn into the bad stuff like olive oil does when used in medium/high heat.... [my husband ate most of them after supper]

Simple BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2011
I'd give it more stars if I could. Super easy and super delicious!! The meat fell off the bone....I slow boiled them for 45 mins.[smells kind of yucky but who cares]..then popped them in the oven..next time I'll use less sauce since we don't like a lot of that. Everyone was looking for more....will have to buy more ribs soon.

Campbell's® Slow Cooker Savory Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
This is an old recipe and it works! Really good....I use about a quarter package of the onion soup mix since I find it too strong. It can be made with or without the vegetables........easy and delicious.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
3,000 people can't be wrong! I have only made baked rice pudding so this was def. diff. for me. I'm keeping this recipe! I added the raisins at least 5 mins before the rice/milk mixture was finished cooking [I like mushy raisins]. I also put some of the hot mixture in a dish and then quickly mixed in the mixed beaten egg and 1/2 c milk. [didn't want the egg to scramble]when it was time to add that. It's creamy, not solid and it's really good. I ground some nutmeg on top of each serving..and poured a generous amount of half and half on it....yummmm....

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
It fell! ...while in the oven, just before it was ready to come out of the oven. In decades of baking, I have never had a cake fall before. There was no noise, or jolting of the stove....nothing....I have never had this happen...ever.. I followed the directions to the "T"....

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
This is a quick and easy way to have a wonderful roast. I don't add any water with the other ingredients, since I find there is plenty of liquid without it...and seems to taste better.

Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
5 stars for the taste...it's wonderful. First time I made it, I didn't cook it quite long enough and after beating it to death, I ended up keeping it in the fridge and we ate it with a spoon. Tonight I made it for the second time [with a candy therm. this time] and I followed the instructions...and about 20 secs into beating it, it was not even spreadable...now it's dry and crumbly... :-( Maybe the third time will be the charm.

Boston Baked Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
Very good...reminds me of my mother's recipe I lost. Growing up in NB, Canada, home baked beans were a staple. I didn't have enough bacon for this recipe but it was still very good. Next time I will cook the bacon first, to try to cut down on the bacon fat. I also can't get the dried beans I wanted here in Indiana, but northern beans worked out well. I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe....

Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
This recipe is excellent! I changed the oil to melted butter, also and increased the salt a bit. My machine "soaks" w/w flour before it starts the cycle, so mine takes 4 1/2 hrs total, but it's worth the wait. Delicious, light, great texture and taste...

Dark Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2004
This is a very good chocolate cake. The texture is nice and light, unlike some. I found it really didn't need icing....it's delicious without it.[if this shows up with 4 stars, I meant to put 5!]

Brown Sugar Fudge

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2013
This is a nice, creamy fudge. It does not make very much, which is good for the two of us. If there are more of you, you will want to double it. One thing I found different, was adding salt. Next time I make this I'll leave the salt out. I find it gives a "biting" taste that does not taste good...although I can certainly taste the rest of the ingredients. I used beaters to beat the fudge and it doesn't take long at all to thicken.

Tropical Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2012
This is good...I added more water when cooking the pork chops in the sauce. I also added a bit of the pineapple juice because I didn't know if it called for it...I had to use chunks because that is all I had. I guess the tidbits would have enough juice in it. There wasn't much sauce for the rice and I usually find it better to double the sauce...and will next time.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This cake is delicious...great texture, too. I baked mine for 1 1/2 hrs, checking with toothpicks. It is a bit gummy in the middle of the cake so I will bake it longer next time. I didn't ice it, altho I am sure it would be even more delicious with it....It takes a bit of time to make this but it's well worth it. [can't figure out the freezer thing, tho...why it makes is more moist since banana cake usually is moist anyway]

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
these are wonderful.....I only used 1 cup of choc chips, not 2 and found that was more than enough. My husband was napping and woke up enough to ask if they were ready yet...[he ate a lot of them when I took them out of the oven]....loved them. I'll make these again for sure...

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
This recipe is awesome. My daughter sent it to me and I am in her debt. She has also used strawberries and said they were very good. I cut the topping by half since I find it a bit heavy [weight] on the batter, but they are still just as delicious!

These are good. I added 2 tsp cinnamon to the dry mixture...and cut them into triangles on the parchment covered baking sheet. I really like them and will make them again.
