Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2006
These cookies are *awesome*! I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out wonderfully -- thick, soft, chewy and delicious. My husband told me to make another batch that he could take to work with him! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Lemon Blueberry Drop Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
A fluffier texture for a scone than I prefer, but very delicious. The kids ate 'em up!

Meat-Lover's Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
This was an extremely tasty spaghetti sauce and I will definitely keep this recipe. Instead of browning the sausage and ground beef separately, however, I cooked everything together before draining and adding to the slow cooker. Also, the sauce was a *little* bit watery. Perhaps this could be remedied by draining the stewed or diced tomatoes? A great recipe, however!

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2006
I made this with my eight-year-old after being disappointed with store-bought fondant. It was very easy to make and tastes *good*. I added food coloring to it to decorate my son's birthday cake and I love it. I will definitely use this recipe again!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
This was a wonderful winter treat! Like other reviewers, I added only 1/2 c. of sugar and it was perfect. It was still hot after adding the cream, so I topped it with a generous dollop of peppermint ice cream. Sinfully delicious!!!

Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I made this recipe as-is without any changes and my family *loved* it. My daughter, who hates meatloaf, said it was her favorite and ate it without any complaints (a miracle!). Thanks for such a yummy recipe!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
This is a fantastic mild guacamole recipe. No changes are needed, except perhaps next time I'll experiment with a little bit of jalapeno.

Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
Soooo good! I used this frosting to ice the roll-out cookies from this site, and everyone loved them. I used 3 c. powdered sugar, which made the frosting a perfect consistency and taste -- not too sweet, not too tart. Definitely a keeper!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
These are absolutely fantastic! I've never had a Cinnabon cinnamon roll, but I can't imagine they could be better than these. I frosted the buns with a Cinnabon frosting recipe found elsewhere on the internet and they were out of this world. Will definitely make again!

Banana Date Flaxseed Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
I was very pleasantly surprised by this bread. It was moist and delicious even after the changes I made: (1) grind all the flax; (2) substitute 1/2 c. applesauce for the oil; and (3) substitute whole wheat flour for white flour. It turned out fabulous -- even my toddler ate up a whole huge chunk of it! Definitely a keeper recipe.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
Very light and fluffy! I added a small splash of buttermilk because the batter was really thick, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Delicious -- definitely a keeper.

Autumn Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
I was very pleasantly surprised by the taste of these muffins. I subbed dates for figs and added raisins instead of nuts. I also halved the recipe which gave me 13 muffins baked in silicone muffin cups, and sprinkled raw sugar on top before baking to give them a nice crunch. The flavors in the muffin are very well balanced with the perfect amount of spices. Definitely a keeper recipe and the perfect autumn treat!

Cinnamon Pumpkin Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
These tasted fantastic, even if they weren't light, fluffy and crispy like a traditional, 'un-healthier' waffle. They were denser and floppier, but very flavorful. I replaced the applesauce with extra pumpkin, and my kids really enjoyed them. Keeper recipe!

Best Ever Chocolate Cutout Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
Wow! These are *so* yummy! I added a teaspoon of vanilla to the dough, and my dough was very stiff (my hand-held mixer was having trouble with it and, needless to say, it needed no refrigeration), but my kitchen smelled heavenly while the cookies were baking. I baked the first batch for seven minutes, but found after they cooled that they were a little too hard for my liking, so I baked the second batch for 6 minutes. Perfect! Thanks for the great recipe -- it's a keeper!

Pumpkin Cookies with Penuche Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
These were *so* yummy and the perfect thing to eat on our cold, drizzly days. I baked the batter in a glass 13x9 pan for 25 mins. and the bars were perfect -- moist, and a nice balance between cake-like and fudgy. The frosting is fantastic and works so well with the pumpkin. Great recipe!
