Soft-N-Fluffy Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
They are just what the recipe says: soft and fluffy. Left in a plastic bag for a day or two, they became even softer, and of course they're a hundred times more delicious than the store-bought variety. This recipe made eight *really* big buns, so next time I think I'll make ten or twelve.

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
These were gone in a day -- my kids absolutely loved them (and so did I)! They were a little more time-intensive than most cookies, but worth it in the end.

Peanut Butter Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
These were delicious -- the whole pan was gone the next day. The frosting was superb and the whole recipe good as is, but next time I make them, I will make a couple of changes: (1) add something in with the peanut butter before rolling them up (powdered sugar? brown sugar? chocolate chips?) -- just the plain peanut butter was a little boring; and (2) use a sweeter dough (from a cinnamon roll recipe, perhaps). Great recipe, though, and kid-approved.

Grandma Georgie's Cardamom Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
Like the last reviewer, my rolls did not rise during the first rising either. Next time I make these, I will try them in my breadmaker. But they tasted delicious (cardamom is one of my absolute favorite spices) and I will definitely make them again in the future.

Marzipan Christmas Kringle (Juleskringle)

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
This was a *fantastic* bread recipe! The dough is soft and flavorful but the almond paste filling puts it over the top! I made my own almond paste and rolled the dough out into two 12"x6" rectangles, which I then rolled up and formed into rings. I left out the sliced almonds because my kids won't eat nuts they can see, and sprinkled the top with raw coarse sugar. I will absolutely be making this again!

Mom's Best Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
These were great for an easy weeknight meal. I sliced through the chops horizontally for a really thin cut of meat, so I only baked for about 20 mins. They turned out moist and tender and quite delicious.
