Sour Cream Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
This was GREAT! I doubled the recipe and took it to our church coffee time and everyone raved about how good it was. I did add a little more sour cream as the batter was very thick and I cut in 1/2 stick of butter (for the doubled recipe) in the topping so it would stick together better. It held together really well and was easier to slice and hold together once cooled. It was hard to wait for it to cool to taste it though!

Diet Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
This recipe is VERY TASTY and FULL of flavor!! If losing weight is this easy, I'll be skinny in no time! I followed the recipe with these changes. I used canned tomatoes w/basil, 2 large cubes chicken boullion, had to add 4 cups more water with all the vegetables I added, about 10 small sliced fresh mushrooms, one zucchini, 4 cloves crushed garlic, half of a large red pepper and one jalepeno w/ out seeds, 2 bay leaves, t. cayenne pepper, 2 T. parsley, t. Oregano, fresh basil, 2 T Olive oil, 2 cans canneloni beans (rinsed), salt to flavor. It made a lot but I am freezing part of it.

Craig's Cocktail Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
This was really great, but I did change one thing based on another recipe that I read. I did half Chili sauce and half ketchup and it is SOOO good! It adds a little bit of sweetness and is just perfect! I too increased the horseradish and tabasco.

Apple Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
The batter was really, really thick and had I not read all the comments that reassured me that this was ok, I would have started doing things to change the consistency. Glad I stuck with the recipe!! It was SOOOO good. I did add a bit of Allspice.

Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
Wow was this good. As I was mixing the dressing I was really having my doubts - especially since I am not a "mayo" person. I did add about 1 Tab. dijon mustard and as I said - Wow!

Blueberry Snack Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
This was GREAT! We live in Sweden where we don't have blueberry pie filling, so I used natural (no sugar added) blueberry preserves and it was perfect - not too sweet - perfect!

This is a very yummy moist cornbread. But It needs salt...at least 1/2 teaspoon, added to the flour mixture. This addition will make it PERFECT.

Steakhouse Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

The bread was moist, but all you could taste was coffee and chocolate and a burnt taste on the crust. Will not make this one again.

Honey Lime Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
It's winter here, so fresh fruit is not available or too expensive (we live in Sweden). So, I used (in cans) mandarin oranges, peaches and pineapple. I added frozen blueberries and strawberries that I cut up. It was delicious and everyone asked for the recipe. I'm sure all fresh ingredients would have been better, but this was really good as well. The dressing and pine nuts is what brings it all together. It's nice to take as a dessert.
