Pizza Dough I

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Shortbread Crust

Delicious! I used an oat flour instead of wheat flour because I think it adds a better flavor. The crust turned out exactly as I hope it would. I scaled it down to 4 servings and it was perfect. I'll never buy frozen shortbread crust again.

Best Brownies

I made these according to the original recipe except that I doubled it and baked it in a 9x13 pan. I was very happy with it. I didn't make the frosting because I prefer unfrosted brownies. These were gooey in the center and crisp around the edges. They are exactly what I like. I took them to a Halloween party and they were devoured. I received lots of compliments. I'm making them again tomorrow for a smaller potluck with friends.

Real Texas Chili

This was very good and exactly what I wanted. The only thing I would do differently is add the salt at the end. It was a little too salty for my taste. I didn't have beef broth so I had to use a bouillon cube. That could have been the reason for the saltiness. Otherwise, great chili.

Snickerdoodles III

I really like that the recipe uses butter instead of a butter/shortening mix. This is the first time I've made Snickerdoodles and I thought they turned out great. I would definitely make these again.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

The cookie part was fantastic. I was trying to make it with local ingredients and we don't have chocolate chips here. The chocolate I used had to be chopped, but it splintered and just melted without holding any shape at all. I also used white chocolate which chunked much better. I would make this again with white chocolate and would add some macadamia nuts. The cookies spread, but they weren't as greasy as the results I usually get from the Tollhouse recipe Good job! Oh, I accidentally added 3 tsp vanilla. It didn't ruin it, but I can't say that it improved. I like the cookie part to taste buttery, so I probably wouldn't use 3 tsp on purpose.

Best Lemonade Ever

Excellent! My son wanted some lemonade and I only had two lemons. I only got about 3/4 cup of juice. I made the simple syrup before reading the reviews, so I mixed the remaining water and lemon juice then stirred in simple syrup to taste. The lemonade turned out perfectly! We will definitely have this again often.

Rosemary Marinated Lamb Chops

I made this for the first time at my in-laws house. We didn't have any white wine open, so used red instead. We also didn't have any thyme so just left it out. We used lamb steaks. This was really good. My fil even said it was delicious. I know that mil and I will both make this again. I can imagine it would be great for beef as well.

Plain and Simple Sourdough Bread

I haven't had sourdough in several years and this was just the taste I was hoping for. I made rolls because I am better able to control my portions. They were crusty and sour. I'll make this again often. I had to work in about another half cup of flour while making them into rolls because the dough was so sticky. Really good!
