Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
Outstanding, simple salmon. I often don't have time to marinate before cooking but it still turns out great. Marinating makes it even better. I do cut back on the oil a little.

Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
Very good recipe! Don't skip the pan searing, double the honey (at least), and also I deglazed the pan with the marinade before pouring over the meat. Then when it was done I took another users advice and made a 2 tbsp roux and added the juice from the chops. It thickened nicely and I poured it back on. Delicious! Next time I'll use boneless chops.

Sylvia's Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
Love it! I was sceptical at first like some about boiling the ribs and losing flavor of the meat (boiled meat ew) but it was fine. The only change I made was I added some lawrys seasoning to the water (thought what could it hurt). Now as for this sauce everyone is so gung ho about, I was not really feeling it while it was simmering on the stove. I followed the recipe pretty close. Used only 2 cups of ketchup after reading the other reviews because I hate a ketchupy sauce. Cut back on the sugar a little because I used KC masterpiece Honey for the bbq sauce and I didn't want it to be too sweet. I added a little sauteed onions and soy sauce also. It was really thick so I thinned it out with a little of the cooking liquid from the ribs. There was a ton of sauce since I only used 2.5 lbs of spareribs but I love my ribs smothered in sauce and these definitely were. They were awesome. Tender and flavorful. Sauce turned out perfect after baking the ribs in it. This ones a keeper for me. Thanks!

This is an excellent recipe!!! Doubled the sauce and added a couple teaspoon of sugar to offset the tanginess. Was mad i didn't make more. Served with sweet potato casserole and asparagus.

Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
OMG!! These are so awesome. The only tips i would give are #1 (A MUST DO) Toast the nuts slightly before adding to the crust. Its makes all the difference in the world!!! #2 Definately double the filling recipie. #3 Swirl in a cup of smuckers cherry preserves before baking (bake a little longer, 10 min or so). Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm!

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
OMG! This is the best banana cream pie i have ever had. I didn't alter the recipie at all but i did take the advice NOT to bake it. Turned out perfect and i do mean perfect. Just make sure to use a whisk and cook the pudding on medium (not a notch higher). It set up better than i thought it would. I love it. My advice is after adding whipped cream to the top (I used Reddi Whip) garnish with chopped marschino cherries. The flavors are out of this world!

Vanilla Crepes

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
This recipe is everything i was looking for!!! I used Smart Balance intstead of butter, 2 whole eggs instead of the 3 yolks, and a little more milk. I also added a 2 inch piece of vanilla bean to the batter with the extract. They were SLENDID! I chopped up some apples really little and sauteed then with a little brown sugar and smart balance. Then I filled the crepes with it and added some fat free Reddi Whip on the top. Delicious treat.
