Italian Cookies II

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
These were very good. Not too sweet at all, so the confectioner sugar icing is really nice on time. Will make again, thanks for sharing!

Grandma's Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
My hubby couldn't get enough of this. No leftovers! This will be a regular part of our dinner rotation. I made as directed, with the exception of using chicken tenderloins instead of breasts and baked for about 25 minutes. This was absolutely delicious. Thanks for sharing!

We make this often. It tastes even better the next day. My 5 boys love it so much, I have to triple the recipe. Thanks for sharing!

This was a real treat and a welcome change to our usual pasta dinner. The sauce was addictive.

Grilled Pork Chops and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2014
This was a nice change for us. Our grocery store doesn't carry much of a selection on the Goya sauces, so I had to make my own Mojo sauce from a recipe I found through google. Next time, I will double the onion.

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2014
This was delicious. My hubby and sons couldn't get enough. The only problem I had with this recipe was there was no leftovers for meatloaf sandwiches!

Seattle Cream Cheese Dogs

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2013
We loved these. My only change was to use a regular yellow onion instead of a sweet onion as that is what we had on had. Next time we make these we are going to try with sauerkraut. Thanks for sharing!

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: May 18, 2013
My son just asked me to make these again for his birthday party. They're very additive. I used Splenda brown sugar blend. Regular hot dogs cut into bite size pieces work well in a pinch if you can't find smokies at your local store.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: May 11, 2013
This was fantastic! I wish I had found this recipe sooner. I used Truvia baking sugar for the regular white sugar, 1/3 less fat cream cheese and I Can't Believe it's not Butter. I had to use regular vanilla extract because my store did not have Mexican. I melted the stick of butter and combined with the Truvia and cinnamon and brushed the top of the pie as another reviewer had done. This was the best dessert I have ever made!

Oven Roasted Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: May 10, 2013
Excellent! I used Splenda Brown Sugar Blend, bottled minced garlic and boneless, skinless thighs because this is what I had on had. This chicken was perfectly done, moist and flavorful after baking 20 minutes per side. This is a keeper. We didn't have any leftovers!

Chinese Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 1, 2013
My boys gobbled this up. They all went back for seconds. I loved it too. I baked our chops in a Pyrex dish for 30 minutes, though I think I could have shaved about 5 to 10 minutes from the bake time. I followed the suggestion of a few reviewers to substitute sesame oil for the vegetable oil and I'm glad I did. This was just as good if not better, and certainly a lot healthier than any pork from a Chinese restaurant.

Susan's Butter Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2013
Excellent cake. My kids and hubby raved about it. Because I'm still trying to lose baby weight, I subbed 1 cup egg beaters for 4 eggs , 3/4 cup Truvia baking sugar for 1 and 1/2 cups white sugar, 1/4 cup Splenda brown sugar blend for 1/2 cup regular brown sugar and I Can't Believe it's Not Butter sticks for regular butter. The cake was still very decadent tasting. I can't imagine how wonderful it would be with real butter! I will make it the real way for company and the light way for me! My bake time was 75 minutes and it was perfect. I didn't do the butter sauce because I forgot and just dusted with powdered sugar. It was sweet and delicious and really didn't need to butter sauce, but next time I make this I will try the sauce.

Home Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
I followed the suggestions made about cutting the ketchup amount. I used half a cup of ketchup instead of a whole cup, because that seemed a bit much, I subbed peas for the carrots and scallions for the regular onion, I used 1 1/2 cups of rice to 2 cups of water becausel I followed the instructions on the brand of Asian rice I had. The final result was excellent. My family and I really enjoyed this breakfast. It was a fun change to our usual breakfasts.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

I really liked this. I think next time I'm going to double the mustard and honey though. I didn't get as much of that flavor as I would have liked, but enjoyed the potatoes anyway. Thanks for sharing!

Eileen's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2013
My husband and I really enjoyed this. I have a meatloaf recipe that I've been making for years that my family loves, so I don't normally try other meatloaf recipes, but this was super tasty and will make it into our dinner rotations. I used 21/4 lbs of ground beef and increased the other ingredients a tad.
