Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
this was just delicious, ultimate comfort food! i did listen to other reviews and cooked both the chicken and egg noodles in chicken broth, also added a bag of frozen broccoli i steamed up first. also i did add a little bit of water with the sour cream soup mixture so it would not be dry. it makes a lot, but it's so good, it's real easy to finish up! definitely give it a shot, this is one of the best casseroles i've tried on here!

i'm giving this 5 stars because even though i messed up, it still turned our great! i accidentally added soy sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce, and it sill turned out great! i also added shredded cheddar the last ten minutes.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
this was absolutely amazing, i love that it called for cream cheese. was extremely rich and creamy. i should have read other reviews and doubled the sauce ingredients. After 8 hrs on low in the slow cooker, it seemed like there wasn't as much and it was pretty thick. i had to add water at the end when adding the cream cheese so it would thin out a bit. PERFECT recipe, just needed more sauce :) yumyumyum

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
i always enjoy making pork chops in the crock pot, i kind of have bad luck if i cook them any other way and they always turn out dry. anyways, for the crock pot i did double the sauce and cooked overnight on low. had a lot of extra thin sauce that i could have maybe thickened up, but i wasn't crazy over it and thought the sauce was a bit on the sweeter side. very tender though and paired well with buttered rice that i added salt & pepper to. the rice balanced out the sweetness of the chops. i did not think my husband would care for them, but he enjoyed them and did not think they were that sweet. will make again, very easy to throw in the crock pot and simple, on hand ingredients

Chicken Chile Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
this was actually a pretty low cost meal to put together and gave us so much left overs :) not kidding, it was so much food, i could not even mix it in my largest mixing bowl, i had to use a big pot to stir all the ingredients together. used boneless chicken breasts, and went along with other reviews and used one can of diced tomatoes with green chile peppers and used one regular can of diced tomatoes. my husband and i thought it turned out very mild this way, and maybe next time i will go for the 2 cans of diced tomatoes with green chile peppers to give it some more spice. i used the oven cooking method and it turned out very moist. i did follow another reviewers advice and did not drain the tomatoes! will definitely make this again, thank you!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
i went with other reviews and substituted the water for chicken broth. i'm actually disappointed i did because it turned out way too salty. i would have rated it 3 stars, but i think if i would of stuck with the actually recipe and used water, it would have been much better. also one can of biscuits is plenty enough, i can't imagine using two cans. will make again, thanks

Bierock Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2012
my goodness, this was just so delish. definitely one of my favorite recipes on this website! i went along with others suggestions and put the cheese on top of the beef mixture, i also used only a 1 lb. of beef which was plenty. thank you, thank you for this recipe :) oh yeah, i didn't add the mushroom soup because i think that changes the recipe too much and would take away from it. instead i added a tablespoon of flour and a little water to the meat mixture to help the consistency and keep it together when baked.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2012
wow, very easy recipe that turned out great. i used chicken tenderloins and baked for 25 mins, turning over half way through. because i used tenderloins i had some extra breading and used asparagus for the rest. i did use a little extra garlic and added onion powder and oregano in the breading mix. chicken was very tender and went well with the breaded asparagus and some garlic/olive oil noodles. yummm, nice recipe as is and to play with :)

Cake Mix Cookies VII

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
when i first made these cookies last night, i didn't really care for them, they have a strong cake flavor. but the next day they tasted a lot better and i kept grabbing for more. they remind me of cookie cakes/cookie you buy at the mall. i used Pillsbury yellow cake mix and a mixed cup of chocolate chips, toffee bits, & walnuts. i think next time i will use white cake mix for a more mild cake taste. just an fyi, it is normal for the cake batter to feel greasy while scooping onto baking pan. i was worried about the texture before baking, but they turned out fine.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
this was a pretty simple recipe. i wish i could have given this 5 stars but i was slightly disappointed it didn't turn out as great as i expected. there are better baked spaghetti recipes on this site, this taste more like a lasagna.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
this was very good and easy to put together. i made this in a spring pan because its the only pan i had available that would fit into my counter top convection oven. i followed the advice of a reviewer and added 1 cup of sour cream, i also used the whole can of mushrooms and added pepper to the mixture. the sour cream definitely helped it from over drying. will make this often, thank you for the recipe :)

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
everyone who i have made this cake for, just loves it. it has to be one of my husbands favorite, right after red velvet cake. i followed someones advice and substituted the coffee flavored liquor for chocolate milk or hot cocoa. the cake turned out super moist, so much flavor that there is no need for an icing or a glaze. turned out fabulous, thank you for this keeper :)

Bacon Gravy for Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2012
this reminds me of my father in laws gravy, even though he does it quite differently. i've made this several times, if you follow the recipe exactly your gravy will turn out with a nice consistency, if you are like me and add extra bacon it might not from too much grease. If you like it thinner, add more milk because it thickens up pretty quick. nice, simple, and just what i had been searching for, thank you
