Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2014
We LOVE this cheesecake!---It is awesome & totally worth the effort- use mini chocolate chips--and bake it in a water bath-& as others suggested--turn oven off-leave cake in the oven 20 minutes more-cool on counter-then cover & chill--later melt 1 cup regular chocolate chips with 2 tsp. shortening-melt in microwave for about 1 minute till smooth & then drizzle on top of cake-chill cake again--It's so rich you don't need the sour cream topping either.

Mini Cheesecakes

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2014
Family loved em! I added 1 Tbsp cornstarch & 1/2 Cup sour cream, bake @ 325^ for 22 minutes-doubled the recipe-made 28 tarts-using 2-12 cup regular sized muffin tins, & 4 extra in a smaller muffin tin-I filled em full-would've made 30 if I hadn't filled so full. Did like others-chilled 24 hours before topping them with a Tbs. of lemon pie filling, or cherry pie filling, or blueberrie

Great-Grandmas Swedish Spritz Recipe

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
This is one of the best Spritz recipe I've ever tried--superior! Just remember to use room temp eggs, & butter--only thing different I do is bake about 14-15 minutes, till bottoms & edges are a very light golden color-so they are crispy. Store in tins @ room temp, keep couple weeks-but are usually gone long before that!!!!!!

Swedish Ground Almond Spritz Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
I used only scant 2/3 regular sugar, and 2 tsp. almond ext. 1 tsp. vanilla, and only 1 tsp. milk, I baked 12-15 minutes, we like them crispy-till bottoms & edges are a light golden--You will have trouble with the almonds getting stuck in cookies press, so just remember to use the "1/2 inch Star tip"-& they won't do that-and also when you grind the almonds, make sure they're cool-& add 2 Tbsp. sugar to the almonds-use "slivered almonds" -chill briefly-these are truly a delicious swedish cookie-our favorite.

Easy Sausage Strata

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2013
It is great! Love this recipe! I did as others suggested, I sauteed 1/2 cup each of diced bell pepper, diced onion, sliced green onions, & 1 finely diced shallot, upped the dry mustard to 1 1/2 tsp. and lowered the milk to 1 1/2 cups (used 2%) & whisked in 3 Tbsp. reg. sour cream with the eggs--my eggs were at room temp-and I let the casserole sit on counter 20 minutes, then baked it at 350^ for 45 minutes--it was fantastic! Husband loved it-we even ate the left overs for dinner! Recipe generously feeds 4.

Apricot Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2013
Taste is incredible-my husband REALLY enjoyed it!!! Except: (1) Dry the meat off-& use thighs, legs & wings (2) Bake chicken for 45-60 minutes at 325^, take out & drain off fat & juices, then pour jam mixture over chicken, pop back in the oven for 30 minutes -- I use apricot-pineapple freezer jam, & added a 14 oz. can of apricot halves. The flavor is so incredible! Otherwise it gets way too oily, watery & looses fruit flavor....
