New York Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2004
Good, although it is hard to get all the clumps out of the cream cheese with muscle only... I would recommend electric mixer for any cheesecake... Overall, though it is as rich as it should be... I love the walnuts in the crust!

Wonderful moistness, but lacking a bit in flavor... looks like a restaraunt dish!!!

This recipe is wonderful! Loved how simple and easy to memorize the ingredients are! I added some salt, pepper, and lots of garlic powder for extra flavor, but overall I Love It!!

Southern Comfort Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2005
This turned out well; although, mashed consistency was a bit "weird" for me... I added about1/2 cup sugar, and it was REALLY sweet! Overall, pretty good.

Melt In Your Mouth Blueberry Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
Even though I coated the blueberries with flour, they still sunk!! It turned out good - my whole family liked it, but I agree that aside from the delicious fresh blueberries, the taste was similar to a mix.

Banana Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2005
I made the cranberry sauce in this recipe from scratch (http://christmas.allrecipes.com/az/CranberrySauce.asp) and even though the sauce was very tasty, I couldn't taste any trace of cranberries in this bread. I do believe the cranberry sauce makes it more moist, though, as it was VERY moist! I made 4 mini loaves and 1 regular loaf in stone pans, and I may bake at 325 next time; the "crust" was sort of hard. also, I put 1 cup walnuts instead of 1/4 cup, and I could have stood more!! Enjoy!!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
I used extra mozzerella to top this dish, but left everything else the same, except I left out the meat and used a spinach and cheese sauce I bought. Everyone loved, and the leftovers disappeared!!

Spinach Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
This was a fun mix of tastes; However, next time I will cut back on the red onion, or else leave it out altogether. Same with the fresh garlic; The taste is very strong. Nice change of pace for a pasta salad, though. Thank you for the recipe!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
I am only reviewing this recipe because I actually followed it exactly... Measuring spoons out and all! The taste was very rich, but wonderful. Like something you would eat in a restaurant. I mixed in chicken I had sauteed in olive oil and seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and penne pasta. Garlic toast to "sop" up all the sauce at the bottom was essential!! The only ONE thing I would say about this recipe.. it is DEFINATELY more than 4 servings!! More like 6 to 8, depending on what you mix in. One full (14.5 oz) box of pasta and 2 chicken breasts were a perfect proportion, and unless you have 4 large, hungry men, it is more than 4 =) Thanks for this awesome recipe! Now I can make alfredo sauce without it taking all day!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
I love this recipe! Quick, and so yummy! I agree with other reviewers that the chicken should be flipped halfway through cooking, or at least basted with the butter.

Pineapple Chicken Delight

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
I modified this recipe according to other reviewers' suggestions: I left out the potato and peppers; I let the chicken marinate in the pineapple juice and BBQ sauce for about an hour before cooking, and I cooked the dish for 40 mins at 425. I prepared white rice as a side dish, and it was a great compliment. I will make this again, but next time I will use less pineapple juice. I would have liked the sauce left in the pan to be thicker. Overall, this is a simple, quick prep recipe, using pantry items that I almost always have. I am also stingy with stars :) Thank you for sharing!

Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts

delicious! I used a bag of spinach that I put through the food processor. I ended up with extra filling that I used to make spinach lasagna. Worked out great!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
Great veggie burgers! I didn't have the spices or hot sauce (and I didn't think the kids would appreciate the spice anyway), so I used 2T. ranch dip mix and 1 t. olive oil, and prepared the rest of the ranch dip mix (by adding ~1 c. sour cream) to top the finished burgers with. I also used crushed ritz instead of bread crumbs as suggested by other reviewers, and froze the formed patties for a couple hours before cooking. These burgers were inhaled at my house! :)
