Love it! I used whole wheat flour instead of AP. Also i did mince a half an onion with the garlic. I have never had piccata but this was amazing, whole family loved it and will be making very very often, super easy!!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Nut Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
These were not at all what i expected. didnt have an intense chocolate flavor. I did substitute with whole wheat flour and some rapadura sugar instead of all white but it should have atleast still had a chocolate flavor which was lacking. for the second half of the batch i was baking i added some oil and milk and cocoa powder and almond extract, which helped in the moistness but still not the richness i was hoping for. all in all its an ok recipe nothing amazing or i would try again.

Simple Baked Apples

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
I love this!!!!!! I dont know why anybody would give it less than 5 stars. I subsituted whole wheat flour added some vanilla, and pinch salt, and used rapadura sugar instead of white and reduced the overall amount. I thought it was a great healthier alternative to dessert!!! will definately be making it again when the sweet cravings strike!!! Thank you!!

Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
This is the first time Ive made pepper steak. But my husband who eats it out a lot says its great. I halved the recipe and didnt use water chestnuts (not on hand), reduced sodium soy sauce, only a pinch of sugar and instead of the water and beef bouillon i just added veg. broth. Really quick, healthy, easy and will make it again for sure!!!!!

Bread Pudding Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
Amazing!!! Ok well ive never eaten nor made bread pudding, but this was a great start. I cut the recipe in half just to try it and see if I would actually like it. So I used just one egg and a little less then what half recipe called for. I thought it was a little too sweet so I will probably cut the sugar a little when making again. I used wheat bread and plain yogurt and added vanilla. Great recipe for on hand items!!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! will be making again soon. Quick and easy!!1

Make Ahead Manicotti

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
I had some filling left over from another recipe and so i found this recipe...it was still the same filling, spinach, ricotta, eggs, etc. i thought it came out good. i did follow the suggestion of prefilling the manicotti and freezing it until later use for the following week. i just took out of the freezer and put in the tray and covered and baked...it did take a little bit longer to bake, but was good overall and great to do ahead and on a busy weeknight.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
Perfection!!! I loved this recipe...I did tweek it though...I boiled the chicken and veggies with salt, peppercorns, garlic, ginger, pinch of turmeric, a clove and a bouillon cube. I strained this and used it in place of the broth. I also added a tsp of garlic powder and thyme to the liquid mixture with extra milk and broth since ppl reviewed it was dry. I also prebaked the crust....it wasnt soggy and it was sooooo good, even my kids ate it...2 and 3. Grateful to the contributer of the recipe...

Hummus III

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2004
AMAAAAAZINGGGG!!! I got the same recipe from my jordanian friend and it has a little less tahini, and really comes out wonderful!!!! The best hummus anywhere. My personal tip, the texture comes out smoother if u boil the beans in its water and a little extra for about 15-20 min.

Baklava

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2004
I thought this came out good for my first try, but it seemed that something was missing. I ended up using only walnuts, and next time I would crush them a lot more because i dont like little peices in my mouth. for some reason though i couldnt get the top layer to stay down after it baked the top layer kept sliding off.

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2004
It was actually really dry. My husband and I both didnt like it, it seemed to be lacking flavor, not something i'd try again.
