Inspired by cooking since I was young, I'm now in my 30s and exploring the new and creative ways of the kitchen...developing an artistry all my own
My favorite things to cook
I am a huge fan of stir-fry/wok cooking.. Mussels, shrimp, pastas, salads...I have no one 'go-to' dish, which makes creating dinner all that much more fun.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up as a third-generation Italian, tradition was everything, particular Sunday meals with pasta and gravy and meat and salad. Holidays were and still are my favorite in my family, mainly because of the food. More than anything, the tradition of preparation with love has followed me to where I am today.
My cooking triumphs
On my meandering path of culinary education, I've developed a number of recipes myself, with my favorite, Shrimp Pesto Orzo standing at the top of the list. I've had a great deal of success when the pressure is on and something needs to be done.
My cooking tragedies
Can't say I remember these as much (I may just block them out) but I've lived in 4 apartments in 3 years so I've had to get used to many different types of cooking temperatures. There are certainly tragedies in adaptations!
