Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
It was absolutely delicious, no leftovers whatsoever. I added a touch of vanilla, maybe a tablespoon, and subtracted that from the amount of water to the sauce. I will say the sugar sauce wasn't as creamy as I had hoped, and when I poured it over the lattice top it didn't look as visually appealing as I had hoped. It was my first time making the pie, but I hoped it would be more visually appealing. In the end, it was delicious, even if the sugar topping was a bit chunky. Maybe next time i'll add the sugar to the apples not the top of the pie. Thoughts or suggestions are welcome. I'd definitely make this one again, one guest called it a home made whole foods apple pie.
