About this Cook
I taught myself to cook when I was a young teenager and took off from there. I've experimented and tried many types of food. I love eating AND cooking new food. My 2 year old son will definitely grow up to be one of those men who knows how to cook. This 27 year old Momma is going to teach him there is more to food than boxed mac'n'cheese or fast food!
My favorite things to cook
Stir fry, anything Asian or even Asian adjacent and I love cooking soups and stews as well. Really, I like cooking anything.

Blackened Chicken
Pretty good spice mixture. Double it if you are making the amount of chicken in the recipe. NYPD K9 COP made very good suggestions. However, I would leave the chicken out maybe about a half hour prior to cooking. Using just a little bit of oil helps as well. Sear both sides for about a minute then put a lid on the pan for about 4 minutes each side. Check for done-ness because it depends on the thickness of the chicken.
