Tuscan Chard and Cannellini Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2012
Yum! I followed the base recipe exactly, something I rarely do, and it was delicious! I'm guilty of throwing in some turkey meatballs to make it a complete meal, but the soup was good without them. Thanks for posting the recipe, I'm always looking for chard recipes!

Wild Rice with Cranberries and Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
A good recipe, but, while I like cranberries, I prefer them as a background flavor instead of being the star in a rice dish. The caramelized onions were a great addition to the rice! I will make this recipe again, but use 1/2 cup or less of cranberries instead. Also, I used no salt other than what was in the butter and the rice still tasted great-a nice healthy recipe!

Jen's Heavenly Egg Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
I have never had egg salad with lemon juice before today, but it will be in my egg salad from now on! The lemon juice added a nice, bright flavor to the salad. I skipped the yellow mustard and made the dijon a heaped tsp. and added celery. I was a bit skeptical about the lemon juice but added about a tbsp; I am glad I tried it. Thanks for the recipe!

Chilled Cucumber Yogurt Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
This recipe has a great flavor, but the first time I made it with my overabundance of large cucumbers, seeds removed. I grated them and then pureed the soup as directed. The flavor was great, but the texture was coarse. Next time I'll make it with the smaller cukes.

Superior Shores Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
Great recipe! Everyone at our tailgate party loved it. We did make some changes due to availability of ingredients. We used cider vinegar instead of the red wine vinegar and sweet onion instead of the green onion. It was terrific even with the changes. We will definitely make this again!

Slow Cooker Carolina BBQ

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
We made this for a tailgate party and it was a hit! We followed other reviewers suggestion to add liquid smoke and it tasted like we had bbq'ed it all day. We are making it again for our next BBQ. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Spicy Chipotle Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
Great! The kids actually ate and my husband, the beef-eater, actually liked them! We put the cheese in between thin patties as another reviewer suggested and they turned out great! We will definitely make them again....I would serve them to company!

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
We made this recipe with unsalted butter and low sodium soy sauce and it was still WAY too salty. Cut back on the soy sauce and replace it with low/no sodium beef broth and reduce the butter by half and I think it might be ok. My husband and I are not the most health conscious eaters, but we both needed to have several glasses of water to rehydrate after dinner. We also though it could use a few herbs to add layers of flavor. Hope this helps!

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
I made this for lunch today and it it very yummy! My only issue with this recipe is that it will not make it to the fridge to chill for 1 hour, so make a double batch!

Autumn Pot Roast II

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
We found the recipe as it is written a bit bland. The roast came out tender and the rum and allspice added a unique flavor, but it just was not happening for us. We doctored up the gravy with browning sauce, thickened it with browned flour and also sour cream, salt and pepper. I would not have enjoyed the roast without the gravy. Maybe someone who enjoys milder seasonings in their recipes would appreciate this one.
