I'm married, in my 20s, and living in Chicago. I'm a music teacher for elementary and middle school students in the city. I LOVE to cook when I have the time, which lately isn't a lot! My husband and I love traveling and took a seven month trip around the world! I love baking pies and trying new ethnic recipes. Lately I've been making a lot of soups for fall. I used to bake bread every few weeks, but haven't had the time lately. My mother makes wedding cakes, occasion cakes, and cookies out of our home for a living. At Christmastime, our house would be FILLED with all sorts of specialty cookies stacked on every countertop and table. The smell and sight of the Christmas cookies is a great memory. My latest two pies (Bumbleberry Pie II and Grandma Ople's Apple Pie) have been a HUGE hit. I also make a mean veggie lasagna and black bean soup. I made some disgusting Vegan brownies once that had zucchini in them. It was gross.
