Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

These were delicious and easy. I was not sure about the melted butter - but it came out perfect (There were still soft unmelted chunks of butter when I added it to the mix). It is late and I needed a quick recipe for guests tomorrw- so I cut corners- used a stick of butter, and used two egss (didnt divide out the yolk). I loved the result. Also I used a baking stone and parchment paper. My cookies were tasty - cooked evenly throughout- after I made them I read the reviews and was suprised people said you had to follow the recipe to a "T" - I didn't and they were great. One thing I did do is take them out (after 17 min) while the tops were cakey but you could see the insides were still moist. I was afraid they would fall but they didnt. Oh, and I added extra chocolate- just eyeballed the amount. -Easy!!

Herb Roasted Pork

We did this on beef and my mother in law (who is practically martha stewart when it comes to cooking) said that she really liked it and it had a full flavor to it. It had a sweet taste to it that I had never had with roast beef.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

This was delicious. Family loved it. At the end I cooked the buiscuits in the oven about 15-20 minutes at 400 They had already been in the cooker covered for an hour and were still mushy and not brown at all, so once I put the in the oven they browned and cooked and were delicous. I think next time I would just put the pot straight in the oven after I added the biscuits and let it cook for maybe 30 min. at 350.

Best Ever Split Pea

this was delicious. We had company over and used it as a side dish. It was hearty - my friend who is pregnant loved it. She is grossed out by pork right now so it was nice that it is meatless since a lot of pea soups have ham in them. I didnt have yellow peas so just used all green. Also I didnt blend anything. Let it just simmer. I eyeballed all the ingredients - guessing that it was pretty close to what was listd and it was great. A little curry was a nice touch. I simmered the soup for 75 minutes as many reviews said you could shorten the time; but the peas were not fully cooked (barely noticeable). Next time I would simmer longer. Very good, and the our friends kept saying how delicious it was. Happy cooking!

Tuscan Soup

I made this in the crockpot and it turned out well. I took the suggestions of others; it tasted really good and my husband really liked it- and he is really picky about how food tastes. I cooked the turkey sausage and onions in a pan then put them in the crock pot; I added the following: garlic, cannellini beans, petite diced tomatoes, sweet turkey sausage (I would use spicy instead of sweet next time),fresh grated parmesan cheese which I added at the beginning of cooking and some when I served it. I think it would have tasted just as good without the half and half or evaporated milk. Also be sure to put the spinach in in the last half hour-I put mine in with the rest of the ingredients and the spinach was a little mushy.
