Amazing Slow Cooker Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
This was really good. Definitely took longer to cook about 4-ish hours, and more like a great soufle. It was great with ice cream or whipped cream and wonderful the next day warmed or cold. will make again and serve with berries

Mom's Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2014
this was really good. May try leftovers served over a spinach salad. I also used chicken breasts - cooked about 40 min. and covered. chicken was very moist - plenty of sauce - used raspberry because that's all I had.

Chocolate-Filled Crescents

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
Oh my gosh - these are wonderful! I did use dark chocolate and sprinkled with powdered sugar when out of the oven. I will definitely try some of the other filling suggestions for my non-chocolate eating family members.

Banana Nut Bread Baked in a Jar

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
This turned out really good - kind of a funny, quirky thing to do with banana bread - but fun and really good. I did not add cloves - as I am not a fan, and like other reviews I only added about 1/2 t. cinnamon. will make again when I have leftover bananas!

Mom's Fabulous Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuit Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2012
Very good! I would reccommend baking the bisquits separately - mine were very doughy the 2nd time i made this. The 1st time I did not put them on top and this was really great

Chef John's Chicken and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
This was really good! I chose it because it was supposed to be fast, but wondered how tasty it could be with so few spices. My family loved it. The chicken was perfect. Will make again

Grape Jelly

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2012
This was a great recipe. I started out blending several recipes, but the one I was following was calling for 5 cups of juice/7 C sugar. I only ended up with 3 c. of juice - so I switched to this receipe and ended up with 8 - 8oz jars. After we added the sugar, we boiled again - for about 10 min - the jelly was not thickening, however i am accustomed to working with liquid Certo. The jelly is perfect. Will make again, boil 10 min - then processed in hot water bath for 10 min - let set in canner for 5 after boiling.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2012
This was really salty, and we are not a family that omits salt and/or chooses low-sodium recipes.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2012
This was really good - I didn't have the full 2lbs of steak and I would make sure to have that next time I make this. I would also add an additional can of stewed tomatoes. I had very large green peppers so I only used one - but I'd probably throw 2 in next time and maybe another onion. I also added a little bit of worcestshire sauce and added the green peppers when the meal was almost done - the meat was so tender! I added some canned sliced mushrooms also - because I had them and served over rice. Like others, I added an additional T. of corn starch at the end and let it cook on low for about 30 min. more...

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
My family really liked this. I used organic chicken tenders, covered with soup and sprinkled half of stuffing mix on top (no butter). Cooked on medium (3) for about 3 hours then add a layer of ham, then swiss and topped with remaining stuffing and sprinkled with 2T butter - stuffing came out great.

Penne Pasta with Veggies

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
My family really enjoyed this. We didn't bake...I prepared everything - it was warm and ready to go. I melted the butter and added as necessary. Baking may require more butter due to it drying out....Will definitley make again - I used prosciutto for the first time, and no one noticed it either way - don't feel that it's a necessity.

Stuffed Mexican Peppers

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
These were awesome! I used a can of Rotel like some suggested, and sprinkled with shredded instead of cubed cheese. I also put them in a crockpot - so the peppers softened. We had very small peppers from our garden. We sliced the stuffed peppers and ate them on a flour tortilla with some sour cream. They were terrific.

Avocado Feta Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
This was really good! However, I doubled the recipe and it still only made a very small batch. I would triple or quadruple if making this for a larger group of people. Will definitely make again - very addicting.

Rosemary Zucchini Sticks

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
I may have done something wrong - but these did not get crispy - this is usually what happens when I try to bake something and hope for a "fried" similiarity. Won't make again.

Cherry Cobbler I

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
This was good - I had to bake quite a bit longer, but that may be because the cherries were frozen. They were last years cherries and lost some of their flavor, but overall it was really great over ice cream. Next time I will add fresh peaches and/or blueberries.

This was simple and tasty. Like other reviewers, I added whatever veggies i had, including green pepper and garlic. Also some Italian seasoning. I placed slices on provolone cheese on top and put the lid on to melt. It was really good - will definitely try with other veggies.
