I'm a whiz with pastas and their accompanying sauces. I dig making sushi too, and bread baking is a current passion.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother's holiday favorites are always tasty memories. She'd always put together a batch of antipasto for Thanksgiving and Christmas, then we'd stuff ourselves silly with spinach maria and lamb. We didn't really stick to any one particular cuisine.
My cooking triumphs
Currently a mean loaf of ciabatta, awesome spicy avocado rolls, and a deathly good bolognese sauce.
My cooking tragedies
I put together this Italian-style tofu pizza that didn't quite go anywhere. I also burned my first few tomato-based sauces due to ignorance of heat.
