Just made these and LOVE them! I am positive they would be perfect as is but I did make the following changes. I used half a cup brown sugar and the rest white rather than all white. Also used equivalent (3 tsp) of pumpkin pie spice in place of the individual spices cause honestly, I'm lazy! I added approx. 1/2 c. chopped pecans which added a nice flavor and crunch to balance the cakiness of the cookie. Finally for the top, rather than the icing I used a whipped cream cheese frosting from the store. It was lighter than traditional frosting and added the right amount of sweet. Personally I love the fact that they are more of a "muffin top" because I frequently have breakfast staff meetings that we bring things to share and these will be perfect with a cup of coffee. One final thought, to help with the sticky dough, I refrigerated it and used a cookie scoop (looks like mini ice cream scoop) to make them more uniform in size and easier to handle.
