Jalapeno Corn Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Love this recipe! My husband said it's the best cornbread he's ever had. It's simple, which makes it even better. Try it, you'll like it!

Easy Sausage Strata

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
Excellent recipe! Just know you need to make this the night before (mine became lunch, and sat for only five hours, which worked fine). I cut the recipe in half, and used a 1-1/2 qt. casserole dish, with half a package of stuffing croutons. Got scared after reading one of the reviews about croutons soaking up all the egg, so added a fourth egg with 1/3 cup buttermilk--it was perfect. I added sliced mushrooms, diced onion, sweet red pepper and zucchini and a little sun-dried tomato to the sausage mixture---fabulous! Buttermilk works as a substitute for the half and half. This will become our new Christmas morning staple! Thanks for this very versatile recipe.

Tenderloin with Cherry Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
I LOVE THIS RECIPE! My husband couldn't stop raving, and it is now on my permanent recipe rotation! Did make a few changes though. Substituted with orange juice, used 1/2 cup each dried cranberries & cherries, and used apricot preserves. I braised the uncut tenderloin in a cast-iron skillet, added 1/2 cup beef broth when browned, then surrounded the meat with 6-8 small red potatoes. Covered, then cooked for 45 minutes in a 375 degree oven. When cooked, removed meat and potatoes from pan and made sauce. Sliced the tenderloin and returned it to pan to heat through. Serve with a bottle of Pinot Noir and a fresh veggie, and you will get RAVE reviews! Thanks for this superb recipe!

Baked Pears with Vanilla Yogurt and Granola

Reviewed: May 26, 2013
Easy and delish! I didn't have apple juice, and used agave to bake, not honey. Added a splash of vanilla and maple syrup to the reduction. Used soy vanilla yogurt to make this vegan. Highly recommend this recipe!

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2013
This was GREAT! Used all whole wheat flour, added 1 teaspoon extra salt, and a healthy teaspoon of Italian seasoning--next time I'll add more Italian seasoning. Did as others suggested and pre-baked the crust for 5 minutes--but be forewarned, I had to puncture it before adding toppings because it puffed up like a pillow! My husband loved it, and so did I. Thanks for a great recipe!
