Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
I've made these several times and they're the family favorite! Store bought tastes like cardboard compared to these. I use a mix on (freshly milled by me) whole white wheat flour and all purpose. I also let it rise once in a greased bowl then punch down, form and put on baking sheet lined with reusable parchment paper. Then I brush an egg wash on them (1 egg 1 tablespoon water beaten). I top them off with a mix of sesame seed, minced onion, and garlic powder. Wowzers, they're delicious!! This time I substituted honey for the sugar; they're on the first rise now.

Zucchini Bread IV

This was delicious! I made is almost exactly as the recipe gives except I only had turbinado sugar on hand and I added about 1 extra cup of shredded zucchini. This has become our family favorite for breakfast!

Three Cheese Manicotti II

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2005
This was wonderful! DH claimed it was the BEST manicotti he has ever eaten. I added some parsley to it and some fresh grated parmesan cheese. *I used a large freezer bag, filled it with the filling and cut a hole in the corner to fill the shells easily* Will make again, Thank YOU!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2005
We loved this recipe, it was so simple and easy. I did make a couple changes. I added a tad of nutmeg to it to give it some zing. And I addes shrimp when I cooked the butter and let it simmer in the butter and garlic...it turned out very flavorful and tender-not chewy! I also added some salt, but it was unnecessary, I will omitt next time. The only down side is that I had way too much left over(its just me & dh), I will half the recipe next time.

Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2005
I tried this recipe with a few changes. I did not use Colby cheese, instead I used a Cheddar/Jack mix, I used enchilada sauce instead of salsa. I already had taco meat left over so I diced up some potatoes very tiny and fried them, when they were half way finished I added the meat. It gave the dish a wonderful texture and flavor! My husband had his friends over for dinner and they ate them all up! I will definately make again.
