Dump Bars

Aunt Bev's Famous Apple Pie

First time ever making apple pie. It was delish! I will keep this as my only apple pie recipe. I used granny smith apples, although only about 6 fit into the pie shell.

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

I have made these a couple times. I soak the beans overnight for about 18 hors. I then boil them for 2 hours. I used all the ingrediants listed minus 1 tablespoon of mustard. I put the mustard and ketchup in at the beginning. These are great, and taste good reheated too.

Angela's Easy Breaded Chicken

Pretty good. I wanted a last-minute idea for the chicken breasts I took out for supper. I added the parmesan and some garlic and seasoning salt to the bread crumbs. I basted the chicken with some melted butter for browning. Next time I will let the chicken marinate in the dressing for a few hours.

Cantonese Dinner

This was good, I used a poin tenderloin roast. I also added the pineapple and green peppers as suggested in other reviews. I spiced up the roast when browning it before putting in the slowcooker.

Orange Marinated Pork Tenderloin

If I decide to make this again I will make it without the rosemary.....Maybe brown the roast in the garlic before cooking it. I cooked it in the slowcooker.

Honeyed Pork Chops

Very good....i made them as directed. I used thick cut boneless chops. They turned out very moist and tasty. I basted them with the sauce several times while cooking and turned them midway. I will be using this recipe again.

Macaroni and Tuna Fish Salad

A great basic macaroni salad. Easy to prepare. Good as is or easy to add to. I used more salad dressing then called for. I also added paprika and a dash of seasoning salt. I choose not to use onions, maybe green oninon would be a good addition, or some shredded cheddar.

Classic Bran Muffins

I made these for my baby daughter who needs more fibre in her diet. She picked at them a bit but wouldnt eat them. I thought they were a bit too dry myself. If I make these again I will look through reviews for some added suggestions.

Banana Smoothie I

Chicken Enchiladas I

This was the first time I have made enchiladas and they were good, however I would make a couple simple changes due to personal preference. I might change the chicken to ground beef. I will use this recipe again, but I will try other enchilada recipes until I find one that really wows me.

Easiest BBQ Pork Chops

Overall this was good. I only gave 3 stars because I had to tinker with the sauce a bit. Here's what I did: 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup bullseye hickory bbq sauce along with all the regular ingrediants. After tasting the sauce during cooking I still thought it needed something more so I added 2 tbsp brown sugar and 1/4 package dry onion soup mix. I think next time I will add 2 tbsp chilli powder. Good luck!!!

Cabbage Rolls II

I really want to give this a 4 1/2 star. These were great, but I will do some slight personal adjustments. First off if being done in the slow cooker the ones on the bottom will be more likely to fall apart then the ones on top. I might suggest a little less pepper too! Aside from this we loved them.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

I love these cookies. The batter was of perfect consistency. I used seedless raspberry jam for the filling. I used a syringe medicine dispenser to fill the cookie centers. I will be adding these to my holiday line up each year, as well as putting them on my summer party platters. Thanks so much!!
