Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2011
WOW! WOW! WOW! SO good! Even my super picky can't ever be pleased husband described them as "perfect"! I'm not sure I've ever heard him say that before. Absolutely wonderful!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I feel unquailified to rate this recipe since this was my very first turkey. But with the way that my husband has been raving about it for two days, I think it was a hit and I'm sure it had nothing to do with my skills or the turkey which my MIL got for free at the grocery store. (I'm not even sure the thing had a brand name on it.) Thank you for such an easy stress free day!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
LOVE IT! Every single person that tastes this pie asks for the recipe or when I'll be making it again. Vey easy to make and just FABULOUS!! I do add some cinnamon to the butter sauce. I don't think it needs it other than apples and cinnamon just belong together. I will never make any other apple pie.

Strawberry Freezer Jam

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I think this might be the recipe on the Sure Jell box. Either way, it's delicious!! I make it every year. We like it on toast and ice cream.

Scented Applesauce-Cinnamon Ornaments

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
This were so cute on the tree last year. My kids and I enjoyed making them and the house smelled wonderful for days! My only complaint with them is that they are so fragile that there wasn't any use trying to save them for this year. That's ok though. They were easy to do, cheap, and beautiful. They'll be a yearly tradition for us.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I really, really like this soup. It has become the tradition in our house to have this on Halloween before we go trick or treating. It's so good and the sour cream allows for the kids to be able to handle the spiciness. Very hearty.

Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
Fabulous! I don't add quite as many noodle as the recipe calls for. I add another can of beans. I also love it with some chopped spinach thrown in. You can't taste the spinach as it absorbs all the other flavors and it adds wonderful color.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
THis is really good and has become the Christmas morning tradition in our house. I love being able to put it together the night before and having breakfast "make itself" Christmas morning while I'm busy watching the kiddos with their presents! Our family doesn't eat pork so I make it with either turkey or beef sausage or even Gimmie Lean veggie sausage. It always turns out just right. YUM!

Pumpkin Pie II

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
I made this as my first pumpkin pie ever. My DH was begging for it and I didn't have any evaporated milk on hand. This recipe was just the answer! It was very simple to make and was very yummy! I did make it with a graham cracker crumb crust and I doubled the spice. Even my ultra picky 7 yr old DS (who I thought would never eat this!) is asking for me to make this again!! Definitely a keeper. Thanks so much for the recipe!

This is great if you add sliced tomatoes along with the cheese (I use white American)
