About this Cook
I did not learn to cook growing up. Marriage gave me the chance to experiment and grow in the kitchen, and quite truthfully Allrecipes can have a lot of credit for my success. The reviews and ratings make the recipes foolproof. I have never gone wrong fixing something I chose from this website!
My favorite things to cook
I specialize in breakfasts. :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
We love to fix the austrian pancake with maple syrup and some fruit sauce, bacon, and potato fries with coffee for breakfast as often as possible. My children also help experiment with waffles and pancakes. Breakfast is our most exciting meal of the day!
My cooking tragedies
I have never had a tragedy in the kitchen. Everything tried improves the chef..

Quinoa Porridge with Cinnamon Apples
My children took one look at this and started to cry until I forced them to smell it. Then they cleaned their bowls! I liked how another reviewer said to add raisins. I'll try that next time. Thanks for a nice recipe!

Oven BBQ Chicken Drumsticks
My husband kept repeating this, like a man gone crazy.. "this is so good!" Just over and over. For the kids I left out the chili powder. I liked what another reviewer said, it's definitely restaurant quality. We will be keeping this recipe close at hand.

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Yes, these cookies are the best! I made one change which was to use 1 cup peanut butter instead of 1/2. The texture is like chewy chips ahoy cookies, and they are also better the next day. Some experimenting led me to reduce them to half the stated size. They do not spread, so flatten them unless you like a tall drop cookie.
